I, however, have been a big Double Fine fan. I even have Massive Chalice, but only have put a small amount of time in it. Granted it’s largely because I’ve only put a small amount of time into anything. Soon, once work stabilizes again, I’ll go back to my first campaign that I’m only 15 years into.

New frame:

Took me a while to find the frame I wanted. There is an alternative shot I almost used. The reason for this frame, though, I will explain later.

I don’t see a picture! D:

That can’t be The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, can it?

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine?

Is Imgur blocked for you? Since that’s all I’ve used in the past.

I knew you had been playing that lately, so thought you might get it, but not this quickly!

alt shot:

I wanted this part of the game since it has one of the most memorable songs from any game. Music is something very important to me, but so many games, even those who others hail as ‘great’ soundtracks, are mediocre at best. OoT, however, stands out.

Nintendo’s use of geometry and texturing in Ocarina of Time is very unique, partly because of the way they decided to manage technical limitations, partly because they had a certain vision, in terms of art. Some JRPGs of the same era came to similar solutions, but that particular screenshot screamed “Ocarina of Time” to me for some reason, even though I haven’t actually reached that point in the game yet. :)

Well, I shouldn’t really post again so soon after posting an image, so I suppose someone could take my turn posting. Perhaps Kyosho or lordkosc? Or someone else…

Nah, we’ve had several people do the alternating screens. It’s all good.

When you get to that part, I am sure you will understand why that stuck out in my mind. Have you met Sheik yet? I know the big twist is somewhat spoiled, but it was a fantastic moment.

I did the Temple of Time thing just yesterday, so yeah, I met Sheik there. It was pretty cool. Looking forward to the reveal I already know about. ;)

On that note, it’s weird how I had this sense of déjà vu over that sequence in the Temple of Time because of Metal Gear Solid V. More specifically…

Ocarina of Time and Metal Gear Solid V comparison

OoT: Link, you have slept for 7 years
MGS V: Snake, you have slept (coma) for 9 years
OoT: don’t freak out, but look at your body… (Link is older)
MGS V: don’t freak out, but look at your body… (Snake lost his arm)

Damn, I thought OoT as well, but at the same time, I couldn’t place that wing carving in the game. The Spirit Temple! Of course! It’s weird, but I somehow always kind of forget that temple even existed, even though I’ve played the game several times. That dungeon always felt…oddly tacked on or something. It has a very light atmosphere compared to the previous dungeons (no pun intended), and IIRC it doesn’t take long to beat. Anyways, I chose Infernal Machine because they ripped off lots of OoT’s art style right down to the interface. I figured, if it wasn’t OoT, there was a good chance it was that. Ah well.

Also, no thank you on posting when I haven’t gotten a correct answer. I have no issue with others doing that, but for me, I need to feel like I’ve earned it. It’s not as fun for me otherwise.

Understood. Ok, I guess I’ll find something later tonight.

Here we go. A bit harder this time, but not much.

Those look like some sort of range-indicator’s on some type of RPG. I’m not placing it though, unfortunately… maybe … Hm. Well, I gave it 60 seconds and came up with nothing. Animal Crossing?

Not Animal Crossing, but you rolled a 15 in your perception test. ;-)

Xenoblade Chronicles?

Grandia 2?

No correct guesses so far. Second frame…

That is very familiar…

That’s what I was thinking…
But then half the time I think that it’s a game I never played.

That reeks of Compile Heart but I’m not 100% sure which one it is.

You noticed there’s a small piece of UI in the top left, haven’t you? Perhaps that would help with your guess. ;)
