Kinda has that Voxel Space engine feel to it like it’s from Novalogic. Hmmm could it be Commanche?

Nope.

Hmmm, that is quite familiar, but I can’t remember where I’ve seen that.

Tropico 4?

Something about it feels like a racing game. I’m probably wrong though.

Grand Prix Legends?

More like Gran Prix 4, if you ask me.

Nope to those. Heading to bed. I have a hunch some one might get it soon.

You guys are getting warmer.

This does have a rather 2000ish racing game vibe, with the clearly skyboxed background and repeating buildings.

How about Need For Speed… let’s say 3: Hot Pursuit. 1998 seems about right.

Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed?

A game I absolutely loved. Considered guessing that entry myself.

Nope to all those. But you guys have got the genre and era for the most part.

Before I post my next screenshot, I will give an additional hint. While this screenshot is indeed from a PC game, the series in question is more well known as a console series. In fact, this is the only entry in that series to be on PC. And when I say PC, I mean “IBM compatibles” that have evolved into what we think of as PC today. Not just a personal computer in general. Because technically, it’s been on other computers.

Daytona USA?

Road Rash?

Outrun? :)

BINGO! This is the PC port of the 3DO version of Road Rash. It was also ported the Playstation and Saturn. I’d say order of quality would go 3DO>PC>Playstation>Saturn. The only reason I wouldn’t put the PC version first, is that it plays midi files during the actual races, rather than the music tracks that came with the game. So in the PC version, they only play in the menu. How dumb. However, I still prefer the PC version over the 3DO, though I have them both. But 3DO is arguably the winner. I absolutely love this game. In my opinion, it is the best Road Rash game. None of the others come close. The sense of speed when you get further into the game with the faster bikes is insane.

Anyways, the screenshot I took from Mobygames due to laziness.

Well that was pretty much a lucky guess, based on your clue and the vintage.

At least it gives me a chance to try this:

XCOM?
