No good guesses so far. This should help:

Argh. I know that, but I can’t remember the name. It’s like the off-shoot games from Disgea or however that’s spelled (the SRPG games) - like the evil penquin thingie got a side game or two, but I can’t remember the silly name those things have…
Teenage Mutant Ninja Hippos From Hell?
Yes… I’m going to give it to you. remembering the name is not that important…

It’s Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood!
I love the Prinny games, and the little Disgaea revival we had going on the forum reminded me of this game. Hard as nails platformers with lots of secrets and skill needed for the harder stages. Much less grindy than Disgaea, but a solid attempt at translating the ethos from SRPG to platformers.
Awesome name.
“Operation Panties”, now there’s another sequel to “Operation Wolf”
Love the penguin with the little tie and belt bag :)
That’s… wow. I’m speechless. Speechless. I have no speech.
LOL, Prinny! I remember now, I looked into these games since I couldn’t really get into the Disgea games like I wanted to (the humor and art style were a little too much for me, I prefer stuff like Tactics Ogre or FF Tactics I think because it’s closer to DnD maybe, or just because I like my strategy games to take themselves seriously - but a lot of Disgea’s systems directly appeal to me, too, so I’m pretty conflicted - maybe now I have a PS4 I should try whatever the newest one is…?) I had hoped maybe this would be a fun alternative, but it looked WAY too hard, haha, so I skipped it and the sequel (despite the excellent sub-title).
Okay, give me a bit and I’ll post something yet this morning…
I have to admit the subtitle is the reason I chose the sequel over the original :P
Okay,here we go! Good Luck!

No, not solid, just straight up Metal Gear

Aspect ratio and colors make it look like it’s on the Game Boy Color.
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX.
Let’s expand things a bit, and see if this doesn’t help a little…
