Okay, I knew the first two would be tough unless you played as much of this as I did back in the day (which is honestly entirely possible, I think). So now I’ll expand the image enough to reveal some of the UI, which I think will help narrow it down a bit.
Hah, it does remind me of Golden Axe for some reason, but I already guessed that one.

No correct answers yet, but everyone is pretty much in the right era. This one might be tougher than I had anticipated - but when I got the system it was for, it was the only game (other than one amazing pack-in) that I had for it, so I played the crap out of this. I’m not sure I’d say I loved it, but I do have fond memories of it.

It’s Breakthru for the NES and we played it at Scott’s dad’s house. I recalled my childhood successfully.
