It’s been kind of fun tonight watching the evangelicals around the internet twist themselves into knots trying to rationalize voting for Trumples. It turns out Trump could grope a random married woman in broad daylight on 5th Avenue and they’d still fucking vote for him.
It’s all good. Trump is just God’s way of bringing on the End Times.
Not really that I wanna go dig out, but it’s all over Free Republic, Christian Forums, Reddit, and Rod Dreher’s post “Quit Now, Trump!”.

OH SHIT trump just released the videotaped response, and it is SO BAD. It was the opposite of Clinton apologizing. It was not at all heartfelt. It was just a terrible prepared sorry, and still blamed bill Clinton.

Take a moment and let something sink in…
The BEST response his campaign could come up with, was that video. A terrible video, which he is clearly reading, verbatim, off of a cue card.
This guy, who once criticized people for using a teleprompter, is COMPLETELY INCAPABLE of speaking off the cuff, without making a complete ass of himself. And when he reads off a teleprompter, he’s also terrible at it.
There was ONE correct move here. One! It was to have a come to Jesus moment like bill Clinton did, with a heartfelt apology to the American people. Honestly, i was kind of scared that he might do that, since it’s the only thing that can save him, and I’m certain Kelly Anne Conway knows it.
But THIS was the best they could do! Even the prepared text he was reading want even the right content! Ignoring his terrible delivery, it still had the same idiotic Trump stuff, trying to blame bill Clinton, and saying this was all just a distraction. Conway couldn’t even get him to read the right speech.
This is awesome. It means he’s fucked. He CAN’T be the candidate he needs to be to win. His fucking neurosis prevents it.
Good lord, he looked like a hostage in that video. Is it possible that Kelly Conway was holding a gun on him?

All Clinton has to do is tell the story of how hurt she was, how she fought to save their marriage, how they came out the other side of those troubles stronger. If she describes that, and is emotive, then Nate Silver’s map above might become a reality.
