My favorite* thing about this (from a political perspective, not a human one) is:
Trump says terrible thing in public: “oh, it’s just political grandstanding. He isn’t being serious.”
Trump says terrible thing in private: “oh, it’s just locker room talk. He isn’t being serious.”
I find myself using the phrase toxic masculinity way more often these days than I ever would have expected, but man, the idea that that kind of sentiment is acceptable in any context, locker room or not, just grosses me out so much. But it’s worth a reminder that there’s a significant number of people who somehow still think “boys will be boys” is an acceptable justification for horrific misogyny.

Donnie doesn’t think there’s a difference. I just watched the second episode of Westworld, and afterwards I realized: Trump has spent his entire life like a guest in a Delos resort. He can do whatever he wants to whomever he wants, and the people-shaped things he does it to don’t count as real.
