If not for the fraud, Washington state would have definitely gone for trump!

Part of be is like, “well trump is obviously going to lose” but part of me is, “dude, you have no fucking clue how any of this works, because does what you are currently seeing make sense? No it fucking does not. And that means that trump could still somehow win.”
I know, right? We’re in uncharted waters. I’m just hoping the same laws of physics apply out here. I’m pretty sure they do, but it’s still a bit scary.

Holy cow, I’m stealing that illustration for my Classical Greek-themed D&D game.
In fairness, you are right, both candidates are recruiting poll watchers.

However I find the Trump/Pence rhetoric dangerous. The official website for Trump/Pence unequivocally and directly ties poll watching with fear of election rigging and applies a slur to the opponent that suggests the other candidate is complicit in or deeply tied to said voting fraud…despite no precedence or verifiable evidence.
I think Trump and Pence’s stance here is very problematic and worrying in that they are tying recruitment of poll watchers to an accusation of election fraud. I say that not as a Democrat but as a citizen that does not want the electorate’s faith in our voting process eroded.
Trump-branded Old Post Office Building hotel in DC is tanking.
From Trump’s perspective, the ultimate outcome of all the Stupid Things Donald Trump Says is that he’ll have transformed a highly valued luxury brand into a downmarket brand that only attracts to a tiny subgroup, and drives the rest of the world away.
Is there any evidence it is a highly valued luxury brand? I mean, outside of the hotels and maybe 40 Wall Street, which he didn’t build and would be valuable without his name, all the Trump branded stuff is a) rubbish and b) not successful.

I believe Trump values his own name at $3 Billion when claiming his net worth. That’s just his own estimate; not sure it’s something you can measure in those terms.
@Timex, have you notice the Pat Toomey and? The last ad had him claim that unlike his opponent, he wouldn’t just rudder stamp legislation, so it seems like he assuming a Hillary victory, since Kate McGinty probably won’t be rudder stamp a Republican or Trump agenda.

Maybe he’ll try to claim that as a loss after this year.

I’m kind of toying with the idea of taking election day off just to fuck with the Trump poll watchers. Show up at the polling place with an “I’m with Her!” button and a bunch of hats in the back of my car, go in and actually vote once, then keep heading back to my car, putting on a different hat, waving as I walk past the Trump poll watcher, entering the building then just hanging around inside for about 10 minutes, come back out and repeat about 5 times…
…knowing the Trump supporters around here though it would probably end in my getting shot.
That sounds like so much fun!

Well except the him getting shot part… which is a high probability based on the nuts Trump is encouraging.
Does the stupid thing Trump’s surrogates say belong in this thread or the Presidential thread?
“This woman says she got on an airplane and the stewardess took her to first class. That’s never happened to me!” Curtis Ellis said to Virginia radio host John Fredricks.
Ellis is a trade policy adviser to Trump and the executive director of the American Jobs Alliance.
“I’ve got friends who work in the travel industry. They’re travel writers. These people travel all the time and they say ‘That’s ridiculous. Stewardesses do not have the right to move somebody from coach to first class,’” Ellis added. “The details of the story just don’t add up. Move her to first class and they put her down next to Donald Trump. I mean, come on.”
I’ve been moved twice from coach to first by flight attendants, though not for 20+ years. First time I was on my way to make my first sales/technical call to Compaq Computer and they bumped me to first class and sat me next to the Chairmen of Compaq, Ben Rosen, who I’m pretty sure was worth more than Trump at the time.
I wonder if Trump supporter never get moved because they’ve always been assholes.

My wife and her sister got moved from coach to first class on a flight to Hawaii once, but that was probably 35 years ago. Yea, they had planes then.
