Some really good investigative reporting from Samantha Bee.

Surely 100% of Trump’s Twitter followers follow at least one white nationalist.

It’s hard to tell. The way they state it, they may have chosen supporters, and looked at their twitter accounts, or they may have just sampled their twitter followers.

Social media analytics firm Demographics Pro analyzed 10,000 Trump supporters and 10,000 Hillary Clinton supporters active on Twitter.

It seems to suggest they at least know not to assume a follower is a supporter.

I like the Title 18 code linked in the comments below Yglesias’ tweet. I’ve had to point out to many Trump supporters on social media who image meme that on a per-minute basis that the guy who originated it walked it back a week later because it lacks the judicial weight to override the requirements enumerated in the Constitution for the office of the presidency. Volokh and others, including Posner, weighed in on it in agreement.

Not that a Reagan-appointed conservative jurist like Posner slows Trumpublicans down for one second these days. All part of that vast establishment they elected into being before they finally saw the light.

I’m pretty sure a lot of Trump twitter followers are just interested in hearing his latest insanity, like me. So the % is likely higher if you eliminate non-supporters!

Careful there! The Don does not like people revealing his post election Presidential plans!

Don’t know if I should post this, the man is clearly mentally ill.
But fuck it, because Trump:

Other than him supporting Trump, what does this have to do with Trump?

The bizarre irony of the whole mess is that this thing started with him protesting against african americans for protesting against police officers. It end with him killing two police officers. And that had nothing to do with race as both officers killed were white.

Mostly because if the killer had been Muslim or a BLM activist - well, we all know what would follow.

Yeah, clearly an unstable and deranged individual.

Oh, Notch.

If this isn’t living proof that money doesn’t give you happiness, I don’t know what else would do it. A truly happy and wealthy man would likely spend his time doing something else.

Get two billion dollars, spend all your new free time on sites that constantly tell you the Clinton/SJWs are destroying the world. Get super mad every single day. Chase that feeling. What a life.

Unfortunately yes he is the poster boy of money can’t buy happiness. I think maybe it should be amended to money can allow you to more easily enjoy your happiness.

There are actual economic studies on the phenomenon with dollar amounts attached and everything.

Long story short, having enough money so you don’t have to worry about money increases your happiness. Once you have that though, once your worry about money is essentially gone you’re no happier or less happy than say the richest person in the world. Money doesn’t change who your family is. Money doesn’t change your past. Money doesn’t hold you at night. It helps explain why we lose and still lose so many celebrities whom you’d think “have it all” but clearly didn’t.

It’s sad really. Notch is clearly an unhappy individual, and he gets momentary boosts of self-esteem or whatever it is he is looking for in tweets like that, but all those people would turn on him on a heartbeat if he posted something he didn’t like. They don’t care about him.

Everything I had heard about Notch back when Minecraft was starting out was that he was a dickhead and an utter tool, as a person. Which is fine, it’s just that he has a couple billion dollars and a big megaphone, which tends to make it a little harder to ignore.

What really amazes me is that despite being an actual cop killer and not someone who just had a suspicious bulge in his pocket, the police still somehow managed to take him alive. I wonder if thar had anything to do with the color of his skin.

You bring up a very interesting point; are cops more sympathetic towards white cop-killers? Maybe you could tweet the department and ask.

To be fair, it was also Iowa, where the cops tend away from shooting first and asking questions later. Most of them don’t live in the perpetual fear bubble that bigger city police seem to.

All that said, if he was black he’d probably be dead.
