This motherfucker so dumb he listen to the audio book of “Where’s Waldo?”.

“The wind is a very deceiving thing.”

He is a Zen master.

Wind turbines do kill birds, of course. But it’s a teeny, tiny amount compared with other forms of bird death, including flying into invisible forcefields (windows), being eaten by bird murder death machines (cats), moving vehicles failing to give way at bird crossing, electrified coal-powered spaghetti wires that humans insist on putting up everywhere, those bastard raptors, and landing on a lectern and discovering it’s Trump and not Sanders (this is hypothetical, but the risk of it happening will increase dramatically after January 2017).

No, it’s the typical far-right, drill baby drill defense. Windmills kill birds, so they’re bad. Coal and oil, of course, are perfectly safe, and anyone who tells you otherwise is a libtard.

Nevermind tar sands tailing ponds. You know, where they have to have constant cannons and shotgun blasts going off so that wildfowl only die in the thousands instead of tens of thousands.

Also making birds extinct is fine anyway.

Also why the hell would you bring up America’s domestic subsidies of windmills on a call with a foreign ex-MP?

No closing quotation marks in any of the three paragraphs, weird use of commas and dashes in his run-on sentences. Can just picture him yelling/dictating this out to someone. Wow.

This is two days old but he’s actually not wrong on this one. Newly placed wind sites tend to do environmental studies ahead of time to minimize impacts on migratory birds but the early ones were just put up where ever the prevailing winds were best and, unfortunately, that’s often smack in the middle of a migratory path. The sites in California that he mentions are killing federally protected Golden Eagles faster than they can reproduce. They will eventually be extirpated from the West Coast as a result.

I’m huge on solar and nuclear as clean energy but have reservations about wind. It’s clean as hell but the environmental impacts are often significant and there are a lot of bad operators in the wind industry who make their money building the sites then basically fuck off to the next project leaving the sites to fall into disrepair.

Edit: And I see others have already covered this.

Millions voted illegally? Sounds like a recount is a prudent thing to do, no?

I can’t believe I can still be shocked by Trump. But there you go. We are fucked. How on Earth are we going to vote him out when he’s acting like this NOW, right after he won?

I think it’s cute you think you’re ever gonna get to vote again, you Musterrorist-sympathizing liberal scum!!!

(it’s possible I might have fallen back into a beautiful mixture of agonizing despair and burning, seething hatred re: the election results over the long weekend)

Brown votes matter?

Questionable people being named to Cabinet positions?
Massive conflicts of interest in his business dealing while being President?
“Blind trust” set up with his children in charge?
Complete lack of experience in foreign policy or as a member of government?
Near silence regarding the rise of hate crimes performed in his name?

Hamilton cast are mean!
SNL unfair!
Election still rigged!

He knows exactly what he’s doing. It’s awfully enticing bait, isn’t it?

Trump would say the 2nd Amendment, ironically.

Boy the 2018 and 2020 elections will be fun, once people loyal to Trump are in power to actually affect election results.

Here he goes again.

Undermining the institutions that could constrain him. This is right out of the totalitarian playbook.

Or maybe Pence grows a pair and invokes Section 4 of the 25th Amendment and gets Trump thrown out of office.
