“We should have kept the oil. Maybe we’ll have another chance.”

Hired people to cheer for his CIA speech? Entirely plausible at this point.

On Fox news of all places, while people were talking about whether this was a smart thing to say, Krauthammer points out with a somewhat flabbergasted expression, “Taking the oil is a war crime.” And then everyone gets silent, then chuckles a bit, and the piece ends.

Both Trump’s CIA speech and this press-thingie were completely sidetracked by the inauguration numbers “issue.” Not only is the administration being reactive instead of controlling the narrative, they’re pissing off the mainstream press at a time when they should be seducing them with promises of access, not to mention visibly losing their shit over trivial stuff in front of the entire nation.

At this rate both Trump and Spicer will have aneurysms before the cherry blossoms bloom.

Please oh please oh please!

I thought it was really bizarre to hear so much clapping during the CIA speech. Glad to know it wasn’t the actual CIA folks doing it because holy shit. He was shitting on their memorial wall.

MacIsaac did not want to state her political affiliation, but said her bakery began planning how it would donate its proceeds from the Trump inaugural cake to charity. The baker and her staff chose the Human Rights Campaign, a nonprofit group that advocates for equal treatment of the LGBT community — and that has declared Trump “unfit for the presidency.”

“This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period,” Spicer said, contradicting all available data.

Aerial photos have indicated that former president Barack Obama’s first inauguration attracted a much larger crowd. Nielsen ratings show that Obama also had a bigger television audience.

“This is the first time in our nation’s history that floor coverings have been used to protect the grass on the Mall,” Spicer said, claiming that this “had the effect of highlighting areas people were not standing whereas in years past the grass eliminated this visual.”

In fact, coverings were used for Obama’s second inauguration in 2013.

“This was also the first time that fencing and magnetometers went as far back on the Mall, preventing hundreds of thousands of people from being able to access the Mall as quickly as they had in inaugurations past,” Spicer said.

In fact, a United States Secret Service spokesperson told CNN, no magnetometers were used on the Mall.

And Spicer said, “We know that 420,000 people used the D.C, Metro public transit yesterday, which actually compares to 317,000 for president Obama’s last inaugural.”

Spicer’s number for ridership on Friday was actually low – the correct number, according to Metro itself, was 570,557. But there were actually 782,000 trips taken for Obama’s second inaugural in 2013.

He tellingly led off his short statement with his tirade against the media, leaving announcements about phone calls with the leaders of Canada and Mexico, and announcing that Trump would meet with British Prime Minister Theresa May, to the end.

During those announcements, Spicer incorrectly referred to Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto as “prime minister.”

Punches pulled?

In fact, none. Finally.

Hey, look, I can see the Fourth Estate from here!

More of this for everyone.

“PC gaming is d0med!”

In all the media attacking, and lie chasing. don’t forget this gem from the DT CIA pep talk slash lecture

“We should have kept the oil. Maybe we’ll have another chance.”

Worth watching Trump’s entire CIA Speech:

He took this opportunity to complain about the media misrepresenting the record setting crowds of his inauguration and to lie about how he never said anything bad at the CIA, despite the video and twitter evidence from a couple weeks ago.

All while Standing in front of a wall CIA workers show respect for by remaining silent while they walk past. He used it as a prop.

And then the Press Secretary comes out to say, “This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period.” WE ARE DOOMED.

I still wonder what he thinks “the oil” is. Some kind of magic bean you can just hold on to? He’s advocating conquering Iraq and making it a US possession.

And a tone-deaf macabre venue to use the phrase “You are getting a total star” in reference to his nominee for new CIA chief.
