Send me money. Said the President less than 2 weeks in.
3.0; They had two separate invasions of Grozny; first one during Yeltsin and once during Putin after the false flag operation that blew up some apartment buildings and blamed it on separatists.
Since Ukraine can be pretty sure the EU and NATO will abandon them like they did Georgia, I guess the only choice left for the people of Ukraine is to succumb to another puppet of Moscow and the oligarchs. Which I guess also means a lot of the Eastern European countries will turn back towards staying on Russia ‘good side’.
But, once we get our new F-35s I’m sure we’ll be able to defend ourselves from any agressors, provided the Telemetry and “DRM” lock allows us to fly the planes. :-)
There’s an hour+ video on yt that is a collection of footage from both sides of the conflict in Ukraine centered around the Donetsk airport; it is pretty interesting.
This one is also pretty interesting related to Grozny (and a lot of other) http://fmso.leavenworth.army.mil/products.html

Yes, I was counting the wars in '94 and the '99 as one. Apologies.

As long as the weather is good and our ground forces don’t need anyone to loiter.

Well thank Christ for that I guess.
I’ll take Gorsuch over the other guy or some random insane person Bannon and Friends could have dug up.
Not a fan of Originalism for the most part, but it’s pretty good in putting the brakes on the government fucking with you most of the time.

Yeah, I’ll take it. He’s a solid judge, who has a history of principled decisions.
Holy Christ though, Trump could not have sounded like more of an imbecile while announcing it.

I mean… isn’t that a given at this point?
Frankly, I’m amazed he does anything live anymore. He needs a good editor to make him look remotely competent.

At least Gorsuch is qualified. I was expecting him to name someone like Ben Carson or Ted Cruz. He’s conservative, but not objectionable IMO.

So do they force them to use nuke option? I don’t think it buys them anything, but it is complete bullshit that there are no consequences for what they did.

Obama should have recess appointed and then cited Eisenhower as precedent, but as always he tried to be the nice guy and it got him nowhere.

From Obama’s acting solicitor general. Seems to nail how I feel about it pretty well.
Having a qualified candidate is more than I had hoped for. Despite being angry about the fact that the seat is still unfilled, what’s done is done. Better to approve a qualified person than whomever they might come up with next.
So the guy is a conservative. The current president gets to make his pick, and then reasonable vetting occurs. That’s a good system. I may disagree with many of his views, but if he’s qualified, then he can’t be dismissed just because of his politics, right?
I mean, I’m sure the Republicans would accord a president who happened to be a Democrat the same courtesy and respect.
Oh. Wait.
