Meh. The major Australian parties are if anything even more weak and stupid than ours. Corrupt, ineffective, paternalistic, and incompetent.

There are no conflicts of interest here…

Between that and the Giuliani thing, I starting to legit think he might be in late stage dementia.

Haha!

Damn, I was so hoping they were flying him to a mental hospital.

Whoa let’s not go too far… Oh what’s this in the local Australian paper, the government wants to use billions from the clean energy finance corporation and direct it to build new coal-fired power stations. Hey maybe you have a point. Australian politics really has become America-lite the last decade and a half.

I think as long as he does one thing a week on the Republican agenda, he maybe safe for a long while. Gorsuch is so important that he is worth at least two weeks. So that mean forgiveness for last week and lets him do anything he wants this week.

Australia already has a couple of large refugee internment centers, so they’re actually ahead of us in some respects.

Trump turned his SCOTUS announcement into a reality TV show to get boffo ratings, and 33 [edit: million] people tuned in.

But here’s the thing:

The first prime time address of Trump’s presidency did not measure up to President Obama’s first prime time event, however. Almost 50 million viewers – 49.4 million to be exact – tuned in when Obama held a press conference the night of February 4, 2009.

Pathetic!

You’re right, that is pathetic.

I’m just trying to get with the new alternative facts era.

… OK, so I kinda forgot to type “million.”

Trump has the attention span of a gnat. He won’t study anything.

He agreed to take them, yet they are somehow illegal. “I ate paint chips as a kid!” - Trump

So, Trump basically got a bunch of folks killed, because they didn’t perform the necessary intelligence gathering.

This is pretty damning stuff. This target was identified during Obama’s term, but they held off on attacking because they lacked sufficient on the ground Intel about the base, and directed the next administration to be able to gather such Intel.

Trump just ordered the raid. And shit went sideways.

So some in the military are not happy about this if they are leaking this kind of assessment:

U.S. military officials told Reuters that Trump approved his first covert counterterrorism operation without sufficient intelligence, ground support or adequate backup preparations.

As a result, three officials said, the attacking SEAL team found itself dropping onto a reinforced al Qaeda base defended by landmines, snipers, and a larger than expected contingent of heavily armed Islamist extremists.

Question is whether there was any push back from Mattis, Dunford, and company and he overrode it or did those folks that knew better just go along.

Trump turns the SICK BURN on Australia ← this NZer sniggering

You guys are tomorrow ;) Hobbitses
