It’s delegitimizing Bannon and Trump though. Like actively and often. That doesn’t serve Bannon’s end game. If Trump gets impeached Pence will throw him out on his ass and he’ll have to crawl back to his internet hole without having gained much.
So far as I know, though, Trump, Spicer, etc haven’t been spending time and energy to debunk RoguePOTUSStaff. Trump is so thin-skinned you’d think he’d be in all-out rage mode, having the FBI investigate, etc.
The fact he hasn’t is … weird. But honestly I have no explanation for it, other than somehow its existence has somehow been kept from him.

Well, they’ve hinted that people are looking for them pretty hard. Going public with accusations would just draw attention to them, which isn’t what Bannon really wants. Trump is so busy freaking out over literally everything that it probably isn’t even on his radar.

As of right now it’s mostly an unknown. That hasn’t been proven wrong on anything to date that I know of.
As I said before, the most likely explanation is that it’s just someone in DC who doesn’t necessarily have super access, but who listens to all the rumors when the interns are at happy hour. So probably mostly bogus, but with a grain of truth behind it.
3-times-removed intern rumors would still enrage Trump, though.
(… OK, let’s try a crazy conspiracy theory to explain why Trump hasn’t had a hissy fit about it yet. The feed pretty clearly portrays Preibus as “the reasonable one.” But it does this way too obviously, bum bum bum. So maybe Bannon set it up. The feed will start out with relatively low-level, plausible and even true stuff … but eventually Bannon will plant classified info it, or just have it constantly refer to Trump as a short-fingered vulgarian. Then Bannon will go to Trump and, “Preibus was behind this feed all along. He’s a traitor!” and start the purge. Meanwhile, Bannon’s kept Trump quiet by telling him there’s a super-secret investigation of the feed underway, and Trump will get a secret decoder ring and a cookie if he can stay quiet about it until the investigation is over.)

Is there some evidence yet that Bannon is actually an 11-dimensional chess playing genius? So far all I see is an administration alienating its friends and quickly moving to isolate itself. If this is strategy, it eludes me.

Regarding the rogue white House, i have no idea if that’s real, but their again it’s leaking like a sieve, and it’s causing major issues internally. It’s part of why no one knew about the Muslim ban… They said that if more folks knew about it before it was signed, it would have been leaked. They have crazy paranoia going on now.
Depends on your definition of genius I suppose. He’s done a great job on bending Trump into his anti-establishment, burn the world down ideals.
Well, he got the man elected, didn’t he? Think that’s enough to entertain that possibility at the least.
Well, that’s certainly what Bannon and Breitbart wants us to think. Thus far their scattershot spray of half-baked policies makes them look more like weak bumblers who got here on accident and don’t have any idea what to do now or how to do it.
