The thing you’re going to see for a while now, is that folks are going to support Trump, because to do otherwise is to admit that they’ve contributed to something truly monstrous.

And most are far too weak to admit that kind of mistake. It’s psychologically easier to just double down.

Many of them are going to continue this no matter how bad things get. And some of them genuinely want those bad things to happen anyway.

Don’t discount the number that literally see politics as a team sport.

They have no idea what is going on. They just know the Other Team is “complaining”. They even ignore people that were on their Own Team and have been for decades because the binary team mentality doesn’t allow for anything else.
