To be fair, he probably saw the news last week. He just forgot about it.

That’s the alt-right thing.

Hahah nice

+1 like, etc

Imagine Hillary doing anything remotely like this. Jesus.

Nordstrom stock is up almost $2 (roughly 4%) since that tweet.

Wrong thread for optimism, but here’s something I’ve been thinking about that gives me some hope.

When Trump supporters start a boycott in support of Trump, like Starbucks, Hamilton, or 84 Lumber (although the latter hasn’t really had time to play out completely), it doesn’t really move the needle on any metric that matters.

But when there’s a movement to boycott something out of opposition to Trump, there are real results. So many people were cancelling Uber accounts that the company put out all of these statements to stop the bleeding, and the CEO eventually excused himself from whatever Trump committee he was on. Nordstrom stops carrying Ivanka Trump, and their stock goes up.

I get that these things don’t always have neat cause and effect, but I think there’s something there.

Well, there’s not a lot of Starbucks in Trump country. Probably not a lot of Nordstroms, either.

Last week, employees at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls got very clear instructions about where to put signs for Ivanka Trump products: in the garbage.

The TJX Companies, the retailers’ parent company, told employees not to display Ivanka Trump merchandise separately and to throw away Ivanka Trump signs, according to a note to employees on Wednesday, a copy of which was obtained by The New York Times.

“Effective immediately, please remove all Ivanka Trump merchandise from features and mix into the runs,” the note read. “Runs” refers to the normal clothing racks where the majority of products hang. “All Ivanka Trump signs should be discarded.”

Eh, there are starbucks everywhere, even out here.

It’s certainly instructive for any business thinking of getting into bed with the Trumps…if you ever back away from the deal, for any reason, he’ll harass your company. It’s asking for a whole lot of pain for probably not much in sales.

On the other hand, in the UK, the sea is never more than 70 miles away. 170 miles sounds like a long way to me.

Gorsuch just said Trump’s comments regarding the judiciary are troubling and demoralizing.

Holy shit.

It’s like that old quote:

The difference between America and England is that Americans think 100 years is a long time, while the English think 100 miles is a long way.

Source was a senate democrat, fake news, move on.

If Trump revoked the nomination it would be amazing and terrifying.

I’m thinking about that weird handshake and the weird head games he played about who he would nominate and it makes me wonder if he has made an enemy of Gorsuch. Which doesn’t change how conservative Gorsuch is but does hopefully suggest that he will not compromise his conservatism and support of the constitution to fit the administration’s twisted vision. I.e., Trump may have inadvertently strengthened one of the institutions we are most dependent on to reign him in.

Meanwhile, has Trump Tweeted out anything in response to yesterday’s Tornadoes?
