Seen in my father-in-law’s mail pile.

“Where we are going we won’t need rails.”

We’re all doomed:

This is the best thing to come from this administration. Not starting another world war or nuclear strikes are a few others.

I just hope that there is always somebody around to say “you mean Yeman not Germany right Mr. President”

I don’t get it. If I wore a tie every day, out in wind and weather, I would always wear a tie clip. Appearance matters, right flappy tie dude?

If I wore a tie every day, I’d slit my fuckin’ wrists.

Winner.

(Maybe TMI but I don’t even know how to tie a tie - I’ve worn one like twice my entire life.)

Today DT reversed two serious campaign positions in one speech. China now is not a currency manipulator, and he supports the Import Export bank.

[edit] also “President Trump on NATO: ‘It’s no longer obsolete’” WTF whiplash

He didn’t exactly have much choice on the first one. Legally, it is not a currency manipulator.

Do you think he actually knows what a strong vs weak dollar is? Or even what currency manipulation is?

Does a door knob understand existentialism?

No. Remember this story?
President Donald Trump was confused about the dollar: Was it a strong one that’s good for the economy? Or a weak one?

So he made a call ― except not to any of the business leaders Trump brought into his administration or even to an old friend from his days in real estate. Instead, he called his national security adviser, retired Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn, according to two sources familiar with Flynn’s accounts of the incident.

Flynn has a long record in counterintelligence but not in macroeconomics. And he told Trump he didn’t know, that it wasn’t his area of expertise, that, perhaps, Trump should ask an economist instead.

Trump was not thrilled with that response ― but that may have been a function of the time of day. Trump had placed the call at 3 a.m., according to one of Flynn’s retellings ― although neither the White House nor Flynn’s office responded to requests for confirmation about that detail.
Donald Trump is like a malicious Homer Simpson.

Trump eats donuts with a fork.

Holy crap, that’s right! I’d forgotten about that, thank you!

It’s insane how much crazy shit has come out during the campaign and the administration that I’m forgetting about things being lost in the absolute ludicrousness that keeps happening.

But Trump doesn’t know Flynn, met the guy once maybe.

Mr. Trump said he told his Chinese counterpart he believed Beijing could easily take care of the North Korea threat. Mr. Xi then explained the history of China and Korea, Mr. Trump said.

“After listening for 10 minutes, I realized it’s not so easy,” Mr. Trump recounted. “I felt pretty strongly that they had a tremendous power” over North Korea,” he said. “But it’s not what you would think.”

So we have a president who learned more about North Korea in 10 minutes, than the sum total of his knowledge up until that point.

That’s good.
