I prefer this version of that image:

I’d like to think that day he learned an important lesson.

You know he didn’t.
Hell, immediately afterwards some other idiot gives him a hat to sign and he does exactly the same thing with it.

It’s Trump’s management of America, in a nutshell. He takes the hat, scrawls TRUMP all over it, and then throws it to the wind, to fall where it may. Beautiful.
I thinkShivaX may have been referring to the kid rather than Trump, Timex.
Also, watching this from another angle, it appears that he may have actually thrown the hat right back to the hat owner.

I was referring to the kid too… A guy watched trump sign that kid’s hat, and throw it into the crowd… And then some other idiot trump supporter give Trump his hat… which Trump then throws out into the crowd.
Trump’s an idiot, but the second guy to give him his hat is also an idiot.
But I didn’t see that other video, where he apparently threw it to the same guy, so it’s all a nothing burger.
Well, if Trump doesn’t have to accept reality, then neither do I.
First, the lighter side of today:

You can practically hear Trump’s online defenders clank and strain as they change gears. No, Trump did not just congratulate an aspiring dictator who clearly longs to impose Muslim doctrine on secular Turkey (he’s already tried to criminalize adultery and establish alcohol-free zones.) It’s only that Erdogan believes in strong family values, and by mentioning his religion you’ve proven you’re the racist! Plus, he makes those hippies in the EU nervous, so that’s got to be good.
wow.
From OSCE “Observers have said the Turkish referendum fell short of international standards, arguing both sides did not have equal campaign opportunities. Turkey’s president said monitors should not criticize, but know their place.”
The good news from all of this is that hopefully this means the EU will stop falling to their knees or bending over to please Erdogan.
Shame about the 50+% of Turkey that wanted to live in a “democracy” tho’, guess they’ll have to fight for it now.

Putin has a plan to bring Western democracies down to the standards of the Russian government.
He is succeeding.

Republican approval of Erdogan is somehow 105% right now.
Who does this?
Oh that’s right, tRump does.
To be fair, it reads more like certain Trump officials jockeying for his favour in the context of the Kushner/Bannon war than something put out at Trump’s request. But even so, the fact that such a thing is happening says everything about the Trump admin.
This is ordinary political bullshit, not the unique Trumpian variety, but still:
Ossof, the main Democratic candidate and n00b to politics, received about 48% of the vote. Handler is a long-established pol in the area and was the GOPer with the most votes, and she got about 20%. This in Newt Gingrich’s once blood-red district.
Welcome to 2017, where getting the most votes is failure if you’re a Democrat, and getting beaten by double digits is victory if you’re a Republican.
(Wait, there is some Trumpian BS in there as well … Trump thinking he was “helping.”)
Well, it sure didn’t help Clinton in 2016, at least.
This is the kind of shit we’re facing in 2018 and 2020. Ossof won 48% of the overall vote in a historically deeply conservative and Republican district, yet the Republicans and Trump are painting it as a defeat for liberals and a reaffirmation of the Conservative mandate, and their own fake news outlets are doing the same.
They’ve successfully changed the political landscape of the country away from “Who is the best candidate to represent my interests” and “Who is best qualified” and pushed it firmly into a “Conservatives MUST defeat Liberals!” war mentality where Americans will vote directly against their own best interests to make sure the “libtards don’t win and ruin the country like they have for the past 8 years”.
Fighting the stupid is going to be an uphill battle.
