Really? You didn’t understand that being the most powerful man on the face of the planet, responsible for the world’s largest economy and the biggest military was going to be “big”?

TRUMP. It’s massive. And every agency is, like, bigger than any company. So you know, I really just see the bigness of it all, but also the responsibility. And the human responsibility. You know, the human life that’s involved in some of the decisions.

Sweet zombie Jesus, I’m glad he now can comprehend “the bigness”.

TRUMP: I’ll tell you the other thing is (unintelligible). I used to get great press. I get the worst press. I get such dishonest reporting with the media. That’s another thing that really has — I’ve never had anything like it before. It happened during the primaries, and I said, you know, when I won, I said, “Well the one thing good is now I’ll get good press.” And it got worse. (unintelligible) So that was one thing that a little bit of a surprise to me. I thought the press would become better, and it actually, in my opinion, got more nasty.

So he honestly thought - after 70 years of living in the US and presumably occasionally watching the news - that after he won the press was going to be NICER to him? Did he not watch Fox News in the last eight years?

TRUMP: They had a quote from me that NATO’s obsolete. But they didn’t say why it was obsolete. I was on Wolf Blitzer, very fair interview, the first time I was ever asked about NATO, because I wasn’t in government. People don’t go around asking about NATO if I’m building a building in Manhattan, right? So they asked me, Wolf … asked me about NATO, and I said two things. NATO’s obsolete — not knowing much about NATO, now I know a lot about NATO — NATO is obsolete, and I said, “And the reason it’s obsolete is because of the fact they don’t focus on terrorism.”

See, back when I was running for president I didn’t know shit, but now I do… so you really shouldn’t hold me to account for anything I said I’d do back then.

He basically says the same fucking thing about Wikileaks two minutes later. And then:

As various people on Twitter have pointed out, it’s kind of remarkable than in the AP’s transcript of its own face-to-face interview, there are multiple “unintelligible” utterances from Trump.

The thing that is amazing about Trump’s ignorance, is that it is so deep and so profound that he doesn’t even recognize it. He says things which plainly expose his ignorance, without even realizing it.

It’s like a little kid coming up to you and saying, “Hey! Did you know why grass is green? I just learned about it! Pretty cool, huh?”

Only this isn’t a kid, it’s the fucking president of the united states.

You’d wish that the people posting these things, unless they are trumpafists (i.e. true believers), would maybe decide to quit and find somewhere else to work. Unfortunately, I guess most people choose food and shelter ahead of integrity - as there is a lack of jobs, and now you have the US Embassy acting like paid advertisement for a douche with tiny hands.

I got to believe that a kickstarter to send Trump to Mars would just explode. I’d pledge at least $1,000 maybe more if the incentives were good. Like a picture of Trump realizing that there was nobody to build a Trump Tower on Mars.

Oh, I’m sure that will become more common in months to come. The AP printing the verbatim transcript as they did, with the [unintelligibles] and aide interruptions and whatnot, is their none-too-subtle way of saying, “Something ain’t right with him, and we’re going to start documenting it in detail.”

I think it’s just a matter of time (say, this time next year at the longest) before Trump remembers he has health problems that require immediate attention. Or Mike Pence and the Cabinet will remember it for him.
