In case that is not clear enough, Joe and Mika are both married, so he is implying a secret work affair.

Implying? If this is implying, then implying is the new literally, figuratively.
What would telling be then? Giving the details of what their favorite place to do it is?
The Donald remains as classy as a gutter.
Honestly, many people seem to be focusing on the word “girlfriend” as a misogynist insult, instead of it’s more literal figurative literal meaning.
People are seriously doing this? Good lord. How many words in the English language do we have to depict the female half of a male/female sexual liaison in a negative light? “Girlfriend” is not the problem with this latest stupidity.
Grasping for offense indeed.
Either way, the bigger lesson is that Trump demands loyalty. If you once support him but turn to opposing him, he will insult, demean, embarrass and harass you in public to show his dominance, instead of trying to inspire, convince, or win your support.
Actually they are both divorced. Joe got divorced from his second wife a few years ago, Mika had a hush hush divorce earlier this year. That’s when all the rumors started coming out about their relationship.
Thanks, that’s a quite important correction. I must have read bad information then.
Oops already posted in the other thread.
I’m guessing trumps “information” is the timing of their relationship. If you believe places like page six people say they’ve been together for years.

Not Trump, but one of his folks:
REID: The Southern Poverty Law Center
has described the Trump campaign bringing Breitbart’s Stephen Bannon in
as cozying up to the alt-right. And the explainer that Breitbart
themselves put up to explain who they are was written by a guy named
Milo Yiannopoulos, who who is known as being really sort of a guru to
the alt-right — he’s one of the people that hounded a comedian from
“Saturday Night Live” off the internet with racist invective. […]
They are white nationalists. Does that make you uncomfortable to be in the same camp with them?
CORTES: Well, I would say they are nationalists. I wouldn’t say they
are white nationalists. And Milo, by the way, who you cite, who is
certainly the most known member of the alt-right, he’s very provocative.
He also happens to be incredibly gay! And very, very public about it.
REID: Does that mean he can’t be a white nationalist? You say he can’t be gay and a white nationalist? Because you can …
CORTES: No, but it argues against the idea that it’s an inherently sort of racist, retrograde white Christian …
REID: What does being gay have to do with it? You can be gay and racist.

Well, you see, they used to hate the gays too!
The Terminator is the new Trump for NBC.

“I keep slamming my dick in this drawer, and the drawer keeps hurting me! Bias!”
I don’t really understand what specifically the media is supposedly misrepresenting. All his media bias complaints are so general and hand-wavy. What exactly are they not reporting about him that they should be? And is he including Fox News in this as well?
I think what I need to do is find a way to watch Fox News or listen to some Rush Limbaugh. It’s good to get some perspective on what the other side is seeing and hearing to understand the mindset.

I’m confused as well. Who is reporting this? The biased media is reporting that this is the most biased media coverage in political history? Oh, wait, no, it’s Trump’s echo chamber, reporting to themselves.
What is he hoping to achieve with the rant(s) against the media constantly? Hoping they will stop reporting the things he says and does and instead start posting photo-shopped pictures of his head on shirtless-Putin propaganda photos?
Delegitimization. Same strategy Republicans have been using against both the media and the government for decades now.
It is infuriating, and one of the tentpoles of “why Adam will vehemently oppose any candidate from this incarnation of the party, literally regardless of anything they personally do, because the party itself is so goddamn toxic.”
(The other big one is the many faces voter disenfranchisement. It is antithetical to democracy.)

So much this. I don’t care one whit about anyone running under the Republican banner for precisely this reason. Even reasonable or moderate Republicans must be voted out due to the toxic behavior of the party at large.
Very nice Kirk, you stayed home from the convention and have publicly denounced Trump. You’ve also been more willing than most of your peers to break with party leadership (though not willing enough). Don’t care, voting Duckworth simply* because your party can not be allowed to retain control of the Senate.
*setting aside policy, which favors Duckworth anyhow. But in a theoretical world where I had no policy preference for one over the other I would still vote ‘not Republican’ for that reason.
And also to call Obama a drug dealer because he let Iran have the money we’ve owed them for 37 years.
