My new employee cured cancer and also flew to Mars, but they were five minutes late and looked at me passive-aggressively. Should I hire Shinobi to eliminate their family in punishment?

Yes?1234

Seems like a Brandon Lee incident.

Man, that sounds so horrible and traumatizing.

There are very strict rules about gun handling on movie sets. Rules written in blood.

There should have been a weapons master in charge of all those guns. Often, all weapons are locked away so that only the weapons master can access them.

Every time a weapon is handed to an actor it has to be checked and rechecked. Both by the weapons master and the actor, who should have revived firearms training.

There is absolutely no excuse for this.

Oops. I posted the same over in Movies forum. Wasn’t sure where to put it.

No details yet, but it should be noted that typically on a set where prop guns are going to be discharged (especially since they’re usually real guns), it’s a fairly big deal. The prop master/armorer on set makes sure that everyone knows the prop gun is on set and demonstrates the weapon being loaded with powder-only, non-projectile “ammo”. The armorer and set people have custody over any prop firearms to be discharged throughout a shoot.

I have no doubt that conditions vary. Beyond that all we can do is wait to see what the investigation into the incident reveals.

Neither did I honestly. It’s probably more appropriate in the Movies area. I just audibly said “WTF” when I first saw the news.

Which is doubly amazing because many of the on-set firearms safety rules were revamped and strengthened after the Brandon Lee accident.

It should also be noted that regardless of the outcome of any investigation, the alt-right would like Alec Baldwin imprisoned for life for cold-blooded murder, presumably because he has parodied Dear Leader on SNL so much.

It’s weird that he was pointing at the director. That’s kind of my only thought, other than it’s a tragedy and still weird how this occasionally happens. It seems like it should be a solved problem in Hollywood by now.

A mishandled weapon points at a lot of things. Those things are often people and that’s in a scenario where there are only a couple people in a room. On a set it’s going to be pointed at people almost non-stop in most cases.

Also if it was during filming, it’s or the like it’s not uncommon for a director to be where a weapon is pointed. If you’re trying to get a shot of someone pointing a gun at the camera or the like. Director comes over to look at the shot in the camera, weapon discharges, director is right in line to be a prime target (along with camera operator).

There are millions of shots like this out there. It’s probably the most common “pointing a gun” picture or shot in film tbh.

It basically was, but familiarity breeds complacency, Complacency and firearms is just a timer before someone gets hurt or killed.

Holy shit, how awful. Not again.

José Manuel Villarejo, a former police commissioner, is on trial for blackmail and corruption

So, er, hmm.

If you are the CFO of a major Canadian telecom company trying to oust the CEO so you can take his place, maybe dialling him in to the conference call where you are plotting the overthrow might not be such a good thing.

Colorful character…

Thats Canadian politeness in full effect.

The WTF here isn’t so much UK’s supply issues, but this reaction to them:

Shoppers have spotted fake carrots in Fakenham

Usually, you just find the fake ham there.

I mean sure, first thing people think of when it comes to Fakenham is the fake ham. But to improve the town’s image the chamber of commerce recently brought in a consultant to help with PR. I hear they hired the guy who created the campaign that turned Gomorrah around.
