small video ads upon startup are a small price to pay for free games like this, imo
GoGamer.com’s most recent 48 Hour Madness has some good stuff:
PC:
WARHAMMER ONLINE: AGE OF RECKONING - $39.90
CRYSIS WARHEAD - $22.90
PERRY RHODAN - $9.90
IMPERIUM ROMANUM - $9.90
Add: THE EMPEROR EXPANSION - $9.90
FALLOUT COLLECTION - Save 68% - $12.90
INFERNAL - Save 90% - $1.90
PARAWORLD - Save 90% - $1.90
CALL OF JUAREZ - Save 96% - $1.90
XBOX 360:
BROTHERS IN ARMS: HELL’S HIGHWAY - $39.90
FRONTLINES: FUEL OF WAR - $19.90
Anyone play Imperium Romanum? I love city builders, but this one got silly bad reviews.
Damn, now I feel foolish for paying the exorbitant price of $5 each.
Poor Call of Juarez. It deserves so much better.
It’s pretty rough when shipping the game costs more than buying the game. :-p

For the next 2 hours or so, Amazon has Final Fantasy 4 (DS version) for $25.

Is Call of Juarez that game where you can use your horse as cover during gunfights? Is it as funny as it sounds?
World of Warcraft 60-day game cards are $3, $7, or $10 at Target. Make sure they’re still sealed since theft is high in big box retailers.
Is there a way to RSS this thread?
Thanks!
Canadian Best Buys are selling 20GB 360 Pros for $200 this week as long as their supplies last. The same price as an Arcade 360. Nice.
Dell is selling the 60GB Pros for $250 with a coupon code, but the code didn’t work for me personally, so I’m not going to post it. Perhaps it’ll work for someone else: link.

Huh. I quit WoW pretty much for good, but I might have to try swinging by Target and see if they’ve got any cards floating around. Wouldn’t mind messing around for a few months that cheap.
'course the odds of me actually finding cards are terribly slim, so maybe I should save the gas and not bother.
It worked for me this morning, and it’s supposed to be good until Monday. I used this link and the (Code: 7V2DJL$PD6NGWZ) cited above it. Course, with tax and slow shipping it’s not quite as good a deal, but there it is.
Prognosis for long term recovery: slim.
You can subscribe to it and have a daily email sent to you. None of these bargains are like slickdeals where you need to act within the hour, so that ought to be enough.
I downloaded and installed Area 51 from Filefront without a hitch. The game runs great and is actually a lot of fun. There are ads for the Air Force at startup and between chapters, but if you click the ad it goes away, so you’re not even forced to sit through it.

You can download the working installer of Rise and Fall for free here. The version hosted on filefront was bad.
The Deal of the Day I’ve been waiting for on EBGames.com has finally arrived. Free overnight shipping on Dead Space. Enter the code “SPACE” at checkout.
MSUSteve: We really need to get you an Amazon Prime membership. I believe some members of Qt3 were going together at some point and collectively get a membership. You might want in on that.
I actually do have an Amazon Prime membership with some buddies. It’s awesome, but overnight shipping costs $3.99, as opposed to free. I realize that I’m probably in the minority here with regard to my very immature need to have games on day one, but there is something awesome (to me) about having a game waiting at home for me on day one and knowing that I didn’t even pay to have it delivered.
