Yeah, I can see that. But for me, the tax on that order is 4.08, so the deal really isn’t much of one relative to Prime.
Yeah, same here. EB/Gamestop has tax added on, while Amazon doesn’t (for where I currently live).
I hadn’t considered taxes as part of the calculation. Here is Michigan sales tax is 6%, so a game is $63.59 with tax. With $3.99 overnight shipping from Amazon it’s about 40 cents more, at $63.98. So it’s slightly cheaper to get free overnight shipping from EB than it is to pay for overnight from Amazon. What I’m hoping happens is that Amazon applies its Release Date Delivery to more titles in the future. That’s day one delivery and it’s free for Prime members.
Amazon Prime + Release-Day Delivery = As Giddy as a Schoolgirl
Yeah, I think Amazon should extend release-date delivery to all titles. It’s not like it costs them anything.

not much of a deal, but when it comes to MS Points sold online, this is as good as it ever gets:
4000 point MS Points card for $45 (regularly $50)
I ordered four, because I’ve gone through god knows know many MS points buying every DLC track for Rock Band (and everything for GH2, only partial for GH3 before I gave up on that title). I’ll take whatever minor pricing break I can get…

KBtoys has the $300 isobot for $150. I dunno who here would want it, but fuck it, looked awesome to me at $300, and I had a 25$ giftcard, so… had to.
I noticed the Amazon is offering Release Date shipping for Wrath of the Lich King, for those that are into WoW.
You should check the bargain thread more often wumpus. Just about 2 weeks ago, I posted this:
There was even a follow-up discussion on how temporary that sale would be. I loaded up on more point cards during that sale.
EBGames.com’s deal of the day is free overnight shipping on Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. Enter the coupon code “SHADOWS”.
I have high hopes for this game, but I’m going to skip the pre-order as it releases on 10/21/08, the same day as Fable 2 and a week before Fallout 3.
Amazon.com’s Deal of the Day is Baroque (Wii & PS2) for $16.98. I don’t know anything about the game, but I’m sure there are some out there that might like this deal.

When I considered it while it was on sale at GameFly, reviews were not kind
Noob American gamers dislike roguelikes. News at 11. Baroque’s a fun game, but it’s not for FF addicts.
I rented Baroque; seemed pretty bland.
Anyway, didn’t see this mentioned yet: Circuit City has King’s Bounty for $30 this week. Early reviews are favorable.

Big fan of The Guild. It’s a shame it crashes so much, because it’s one of the most engrossing games I’ve played. There’s something quaint about the original’s sound and graphics, the little workshops feel cozy and the murmurings in the town market are just right. Plus it’s awesome to form your own guard, ostensibly to protect your shipments but really to terrorize that prickly herbalist that posted rumors about you on the town bulletin board.
Amazon’s deal of the day is Iron Man for PS3 & Wii for $19.98 and for the PS2 & DS for 14.98. I have the 360 version and it’s decent enough to recommend at $15 to $20. Strangely the 360 version isn’t part of the deal of the day, but I assume the PS3 version is about the same.
Say, when is Call of Duty 4 PC going to drop? I’ve been waiting all year. If Activision thinks it’s getting $50 from me at this point they can take a hike.
Amazon is offering a $10 gift card to those that pre-order Midnight Club: LA prior to October 19, 2008.
Pre-order either Midnight Club: Los Angeles or Midnight Club: LA Remix by October 19, 2008 in our Video Games Store and get a $10.00 Amazon.com Gift Card*. An email will be sent out by November 3, 2008 and will include the Amazon.com Gift Card and redemption instructions.
This apparently only applies to the first 4,000 pre-orders, so I have no idea if it’s already too late, but I absolutely loved Midnight Club 3, so I’m giving it a shot.
