Amazon’s Deal of the Day is the 160GB PS3 w/ Uncharted for $449.98. That’s $50 off.
Amazon also has a Gold Box Deal for Motorstorm Pacific Rift for $39.98. I think today is the day for all PS3 Gold Box deals, so I’m gonna keep checking back over there.
Ohyeah.
Bostonians, the Target in Watertown has Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank: PS3 Version in their clearance area (near the pet food) for $20 each.
Amazon’s current lightning Gold Box deal is Pro Evolution Soccer 09 (PS3) for $29.98.
I just checked and I think I’ll stick with GOG for my retro gaming downloads.
Here are the hints as to what the rest of today’s Gold Box Lightning Deals will be as well as what time (EST) they’ll be revealed, courtesy of CAG:

I got both Disciples 2 and JA2 off of steam… great buy!
Dunno who besides me would be nutty enough to be interested in this, but: Frys has the X360 HD-DVD drive bundled with the first seasons of Battlestar Galactica and Heroes for $50 plus shipping.
That’s pretty awesome. I bought up HD-DVDs recently myself, and Heroes S1 on its own was $20. I don’t see how that deal is not worth it.
I donno if FYE is going out of business or not, but they are apparently having a clearance sale. 25% off of everything. I picked up a new 360 controller for $38. I was disappointed that I couldn’t find a 120gb HDD for $99. Oh well!

Thanks Tracy, two computers is pretty limiting, but I may think about it for $5.
Yeah, I’m thinking it wouldn’t be a bad deal for games that are guaranteed to run well on my netbook because the hardware configuration for that thing is never going to change. I’m just pissed that Far Cry 2 required another activation when I upgraded my video card, and then one more when I upgraded my RAM, so I’m trying to swear off that type of heavy-handed DRM.

Ya, that whole activating with upgrades should be illegal. As long as I only use the software on one machine at any given time, there shouldn’t be an issue. And no, publishers shouldn’t get to choose which machine I get to run it on.
Amazon has Dead Space and Mirror’s Edge for $49.99. The Deal of the Day is the King of Fighters Collection for PS2 for $7.98.
Saw this over at EvilAvatar: Good Old Games has Beneath a Steel Sky and Lure of the Temptress free if you have a GOG account.

Beneath a Steel Sky has been public domain for a while, but it’s still worth playing if you liked old school Sierra-style adventure games. Keep a walkthrough handy.
And it’s still worth your time to sign up for a GoG account, given all the quality modern-OS support they offer with their games.
EBGames’ weekend specials include Midnight Club: LA and GTAIV for $39.99, the Diablo & Warcraft Battle Chests for $19.99 each, CoD World at War for $49.99 (360 & PS3) and $39.99 (PC), Mercenaries 2 for $34.99, and Lego Batman (360 & PS3) for $39.99.
Some people think buying into a now-abandoned format is a poor investment, no matter how cheap it gets. My massive stack of under-$5 HD-DVDs disagrees. :-)
For anyone who wants to save a few more bucks, Target will have ME on sale for $44 next week.
Amazon has the complete Guild Wars (Trilogy + EotN) with bonus print for $40: Floating Mosque print, Jora print. [Curiously, the Scent on the Wind print is still $70.]
Also, if anyone is looking for a cheap wired guitar for their X360, Circuit City has the X-Plorer for $10. Red Octane has PS2 guitars for $10.

Along with the good news about EA coming to Steam, it looks like their weekend deal is Shadow of Chernobyl for $4.99!
I never had a chance to play this, so now is as good a time as any!
