I got an email from Gamefly this morning about their year-end sale on used games, in which they’ve got free shipping on all titles until Jan 5th. There’s quite a few gems in there that I’m too lazy to mention right now. Happy bargain hunting.

Amazon.com has Legendary (360 & PS3) for $29.99. If the game is as bad as most say, that’s probably still $10 to $15 too much, but there’s a link anyway.

Amazon also has Midnight Club LA (360 & PS3) for $37.99.

I got that same email, and saw that it prominently mentioned the Simpsons Game, 360 version, as one of the the ones on sale. Followed the link and D’oh!, I can’t buy it. WTF?

Steam is now running their (apparently) annual day-before-Christmas sale. Everything is 10-50% off, and the store is getting hammered. I’ve tried for 20 minutes and have not been able to so much as load the store front page.

Ugh. I bought Far Cry 2 off of Steam earlier today. Oh, well.

There seems to be no hint whatsoever about a pre-Christmas sale, and there certainly wasn’t this morning when I pulled the trigger on Far Cry 2 - maybe it was supposed to be for Christmas day?

Yeah. I’m looking at it now, and while the site was down earlier, nothing seems like it’s on holiday sale (nor is there any mention of it in the steam news). Maybe it was a timed sale? shrugs All the stuff I’d be interested in would probably only 10% off.

I don’t know if it was a timed sale, I just suggested it was a possibility, which would explain the behavior or maybe they were just having problems in general at the moment and there is no sale. shrugs

If anyone sees a Soul Calibur IV sale ( 360 ), hook me up! I’m unfortunately going on my 3rd copy now. I guess the disc is VERY fragile, and taking it in and out of the case will cause the center to begin cracking. That combined with the super fast xbox drive speeds will cause the crack to spider out into the data portion of the disc. I exchanged my first copy thinking it was a fluke, but now my 2nd copy did the same thing. I had since lost the receipt ( this is over the course of 4-5 months ), so i tried calling Namco-Bandai but no dice.
