I know it’s not a game deal, but Amazon has a Gold Box deal for Band of Brothers on Blu-ray for $34.98. That’s a helluva deal.

Yeah, I’m very tempted by that. On the one hand, I love the series. On the other hand, I’ve already seen it, and have had access to the DVD series for a while, and never got the time to sit down and watch it a second time. The Blu-Ray price is a good, but I can’t help but feel it’ll just sit there gathering dust if I buy it. It’s a great series, but not one that I felt the compulsion to watch again and again.

I feel the exact same way Rock8. Maybe there are some out there that would like to own it though. For me, my days of buying stuff DVDs just to have them are pretty much over.

If you’re willing to buy pink battery packs, Amazon is fulfilling the order for $6, if you’ve got Amazon Prime, it’s free shipping it. I’m in for one, since I have 3 controllers right now, but only two battery packs, with the third one using AA batteries whenever I need a third controller.

Good lord, the white controller with the pink battery pack is going to look weird.

Thanks. I just bought 4 of these because some of my oldest Xbox 360 rechargable battery packs have recently got to a point where they have trouble holding a charge for more than an hour or so of use. I don’t care that they are pink when they’re almost half price!

Because Soulstorm is a standalone product, it won’t matter if I purchase it on Steam, even though I have Dawn of War and Winter Assault on disc, right?

For my fellow lovers of now-obsolete formats: Frys has the Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive with King Kong and the first seasons of Battlestar Galactica & Heroes for $50 (+S/H). Page says it’s for today (1/22) only. Considering the DVD release of BSG S1 still goes for ~$45 (and isn’t available on Blu-ray yet), that’s not a bad deal.
