No, but they have pretty good reviews on metacritic. Might be worth navigating to some of the more negative reviews to see if you can find any red flags that will keep your wife from enjoying the game.
That’s too bad. It would be nice if they integrated the old CD/DVD keys for non-Valve products offered on Steam into Steam’s database. Oh, well…

I think it’s just a matter of publishers paying Valve for the feature on a per game basis, since it’ll cost Valve in the form of download bandwidth.
No, but pretty good guess based on what I gave.
I really can’t remember enough about it to give an accurate description even though it burned a hole in my brain for its weirdness. I remember some of the names of some of the ships you could make were Mule, Bull …
It was more like putting together a coalition of forces to face the onslaught of some unknown force. And it probably was 90s, as my perspective of the late 80s-early 90s bleeds together pretty well.
You really had to manage your resources tightly, though I can’t even recall what they were, as the menace was like clockwork. There were some things you could do to slow their arrival, but I never got very far.
This is crazy.
Hell, maybe that was it, given how distorted my memory is on this. It sure isn’t hitting the bell, though.
That’s pretty awesome.
Does King’s Bounty have a map editor?
Maybe this was answered before, but I haven’t seen it…
If I have Dawn of War and the Winter Assault expansion and buy Dark Crusade through Impulse, will I be able to integrate all three? If anyone’s tried this, let me know. Thanks.
I’m not 100% sure, but Winter Assault is stuck with my DoW Gold executable and Dark Crusade is a separate install so… I’m guessing no.

That sucks. One of the best reasons for me buying Dark Crusade at all is to integrate all the races into one game.
Thanks for the info, though!
You will be able to use all races in Dark Crusade. If I remember correctly, during the DC install process, it will ask you for the CD keys to DoW and Winter Assault. If you enter the CD keys, then you’ll be able to play all races in multiplayer. You can always play all races in the campaign or skirmish, regardless of whether you have the earlier games or not.
Well, I know for sure is that they are in separate directories but I couldn’t confirm for you either way. I could try later tonight, though I’m sure someone will know and post before then. DC has a ton of races though, I would have thought they’d have everything DOW + WA had but I’m entering the whole DOW thing really late and bought the Steam sale dealie over the holidays.

Ah… ok. That makes sense. It’s multiplayer I was concerned about, obviously, since I do own the other two parts.
Not that I have time for another game… but at $3.99… why not?!
This may prove to be my 2009 mantra.
And the Steam weekend deal is all five Ghost Recon games (the original, Desert Siege, Island Thunder, GRAW, GRAW2) for $20 USD.

I wasn’t a big fan of the GRAW games, to be honest, but the first three were old school Clancy-hard, the kind of thing I wish still happened with Rainbow 6. Old-school R6 with less planning, more open environment “Think on your feet because we barely have a clue what’s going on and act FAST” thing, but with the same level of tactical skill and caution needed. Creeping through the jungle, setting up a timed ambush from the best tactical points, and actually succeeding against very nasty odds? Brilliant.
Definitely worth the $20!

I curse you, Valve. Foul temptress.
OMG I love that game, still have my copy. Gonna try to get it to run…again…
Thank you very much. For some reason they do not email me anymore even though I am signed up. medieval 2 for $6 is a really great deal.

I was in bestbuy the other day to pick up a game for the 360 and saw in the PC section Company of Heroes Gold edition or whatever for $30, right next to the original that was $30 still. IIRC, I paid $20 for the original a couple years ago.
