Circuit City liquidation has all games at 30% off now and still good selection of new releases, at least at the San Mateo store. All new consoles at 20% off too…

Sounds like that could be nice, but always be sure they’re not selling a game that’s down to $20 everywhere else for $40.

GTA IV, COD World at War, Fallout 3, and a bunch of other new releases for PC were $34.99 - I picked up the new COD I loved COD 4 Modern Warfare…

Thanks. That makes for some decent prices ($42) on newly released PS3 and XBox 360 games. I might stop by and look for Uncharted for the PS3.

Seriously dude, you are just a fucking idiot.

Uncharted should soon be a Greatest Hit, making it $30 dollars MSRP. I’d hold off for a few months.

No, but they have pretty good reviews on metacritic. Might be worth navigating to some of the more negative reviews to see if you can find any red flags that will keep your wife from enjoying the game.[/QUOTE]

Adventure Gamers reviewed Awakened (3 stars out of 5) and Silver Earring (3.5 stars out of 5). Mummy never got reviewed there but they have a discussion forum that may include useful feedback about it.

Seriously dude, you are just a fucking idiot.

You were debate team champion at your high school, weren’t you?

What the hell? When did I ever make that assumption? You DON’T read posts before you respond to them, do you? I’m not talking about tomorrow, I’m talking about today.

Filed under “duh”. Whether it’s playing Crysis or drawing a single OpenGL sphere on the screen, it’ll be brutally slow either way, because there’s no access to 3D video hardware in current VMs.

You’re the one who mentioned Crysis multiple times, in a poor attempt to make my situational needs seem much more extreme than they are.

You also managed to be factually wrong as there is accelerated 3D video hardware support in various current virtual machine products, but actually trying to use it like trying to develop on old pre-GMA950 era Intel 3D chipsets, too many problems to be worth the effort.

Let’s revisit this discussion in four years and see who was right. Hint: it won’t be you.

Again, what the hell? Where did I say that virtual machines are forever doomed to be performance killing in the area of 3D?
Hint: I didn’t.

Were you? Is that where they taught you how to do the trick where when you’re wrong you make shit up out of whole cloth* to make it seem like you were kinda right?

(* eg. try to reframe the whole debate to be about where technology might be 4 years from now when the argument began about where it is today)

You got the shit beat out of you daily in high school, didn’t you?

Please go take your useless bickering to some other thread or privately.

I’ll wait for a sale on the PC version.

That’s not a bad deal, though. Comes out to $43 with shipping.

I didn’t know that. Thanks. I’m in no hurry, so I’ll hold off.

Just an FYI for anyone still wondering, I bought Dark Crusade and the Impulse version does indeed ask for the keys from Dawn of War and the Winter Assault expansion to verify that you have them. Once you put those in, you’re all set for multiplayer will all the races from the original game and the two expansions.

One weird thing… I swear I told Impulse to install to my G: drive but it seems to have used C: Is there an easy way to move stuff around from within the client?

Also… this…

The thread title is “The Bargain Thread” people. We’ve been over this before.

Tempted to snag the GRAW stuff but I have no idea when I’d play through them.

Impulse doesn’t install all your apps in the same directory as itself (a la Steam); instead it defaults to the Program Files folder. Go to the options menu (icon in the upper left) and change the default folders or enable the “ask me where to install stuff” option. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to move already installed apps to different folders.

Q F M-F T !

The retail Dark Crusade does the same thing.
