Eets is fantastic, certainly worth $10 on its own if you like that sort of game. In fact, it’s not even really my kind of game, but I really enjoyed it.

World of Goo was the same way for me, actually.

Gravitron 2 is easily worth 10 bucks as well. It’s like Lunar Lander on steroids!

The Unreal Anthology is 10 bucks, had to pick that up, I need a new copy of UT2K4 anyway.

Sweet deal.

That Steam deal is incredible. Every one of those games are great. And I already own zero of them!

yeah, it really is. i already own trials 2, but its worth the 10 bucks for the others.

Only one I haven’t played is I Fluid. Any good? The others are decent games but not enough for me to spend time on them. Just didn’t care for them.

i enjoyed the demo for i fluid. you might want to check that out.

Direct2Drive’s weekend sale is Far Cry 2 for $24.95. It isn’t Steam, but that is a really good price.

Is that better for the PC or the 360? My wife usually likes watching me play shooters, and she only does that on the 360, but if it’s significantly better on the PC, that might make a difference.

Dunno about better, but FC2 is damn pretty on a good PC. The only gameplay difference I’m aware of is PC has save-anywhere, console has savepoints.

Get it for the 360. I own both versions, and I pretty much only play the 360 version. The African countryside is beautiful. Be sure to turn the music off (it’s great music, and I don’t normally turn off the music in any game, but FC2 is different), and enjoy the sights and sounds on a big screen TV. For some shooters I like the intimacy of the PC monitor in a dark room, but for Far Cry 2 I definitely prefer the beautiful vistas presented on the big living room TV. Plus your wife can enjoy it with you.

It’s pretty console-oriented. I don’t own a console but I can reasonably recommend that route.

Anyone else not able to get the Steam deal to go into their cart?

The Steam network seems to be unstable in general right now, going by reports elsewhere. Hopefully it’ll be cleared up tomorrow.

It seems to be OK now. My goodness, that is a wonderful deal.

If you do go for it on 360, it’s currently $30 with free shipping on Newegg.

Well, no, it’s not, because it’s $5 by itself.

SlickDeals is reporting that Best Buy has Mercenaries 2 for the 360, in-store only, for $10, if you’re a RewardZone member.

…well, drat. Wish I were a member. I was hoping to take advantage of Target clearancing that, but apparently sometime between it hitting a still somewhat too high $21 and my next going to the store, other people cleaned out all the copies.

Now to wait for Soul Calibur IV, Brothers In Arms: Hell’s Highway (for PS3 and 360 both), and Lego Batman to drop into a viable price range.

Well, it’s not like the membership requirements are all that steep :)
