Best deal for Empire: TW this week? I saw $44.99 at Fry’s and the usual $49.99 at Best Buy (and in that case would probably just be worth it to buy on Steam to avoid tax if you don’t live in Washington state).

I am going to dig into the game tonight when I get home.

It’s backordered, can you get that in store and get the tickets still?

Just in case anyone missed it (and my thread in TV and Movies). Amazon is running a sale on all DVDs of TV shows until the ninth of March. I’m taking this chance to grab some of my favorite cartoon series that are no longer on the air while they’re on sale.
The site let me order it. It’ll be hilarious if they don’t send the tickets until the pack ships.
My tickets have already shipped. In fact, they shipped about an hour after I processed the order.
I’m going to see Watchmen on Friday anyway with preordered tickets, but if the movie is as good as I hope, then I’ll gladly go see it again with a buddy next week. If the movie sucks, I’ll just give the tickets away.
Today’s Amazon DotD is excellent: Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts for $20. The game starts out a little rough, but really starts kicking ass the further you get into it. Tom’s Game diaries on it are worth reading if you want to read about why its so good.
Newegg has Tomb Raider Underworld for $35 with free shipping.
Awesome. Don’t miss this one folks. It was one of the best games released last year.
Nuts & Bolts was painfully overlooked - twenty bucks is a steal.
That good huh? Well at $20, I took the plung. I was going to rent first, but what the hell. I do like cutesy platformers and tinkering with legos. Seems like a perfect combo!
Yes, but it isn’t a platformer this time around, outside of a little jumping you’ll do in the main city. It’s like a giant lego box with direction. Check out Tom’s diaries (Rockman linked to them). They do a great job of explaining what you just got yourself into.
Surprised no one’s mentioned this, yet (saw on Cheapassgamer):
Best Buy currently has the following PC games for $20 off, with coupon, making them $9.99 each (value in [] is metacritic.com score):
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 [81]
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 Premier Edition [81]
Crysis [91]
Crysis Warhead [84]
EA Sports 08 Collection
FIFA Soccer 09 [77]
The Orange Box [96]
This is available for all Reward Zone/Gamers Club members from 3/2/09 - 3/15/09. The reward zone is free. Go sign up on Bestbuy.com. The gamers reward zone is also free. Click on the link once you signup/login to the rewardzone site. Coupon is available once you login to the reward zone website.
If you are using Firefox, the link to the coupon won’t show. Had to use an alternate browser to print out the coupon. (shudder)
Yeah, for whatever reason the MyRewardzone site doesn’t work right with Firefox.
Install IEtab in Firefox and you’ll never have to venture over to the wrong side of the tracks again.

Fry’s has the regular version of Empire: Total War for $44.95.
Just printed off a coupon!
Going to pick up Crysis and Crysis warhead for myself, and the orange box for my roommate.
Crysis: Maximum Edition, or some similar-named game, is scheduled to come out next week. Basically combining the two games in one package for $50. I was hoping that once that happened, the Steam price for the two games would go down as well.
But I kind of doubt that they’ll be able to beat this Best Buy price with coupons. Sounds like you can only print out one coupon per account, so you’d need two Rewards Zone account coupons in order to get both Crysis and Warhead for $10 each?
no
The coupon says that there is a limit of 3 of each title on it. It also says that items must be purchased on the same receipt.
It works for more than one, I theoretically could buy 3 of each title. 3 crysis, 3 crysis warhead, 3 red alert threes, 3 orange boxes, etc.
