I may have exaggerated the niceness of the couch.
Our couch lost its firmness pretty early, and I have a hard time buying a whole new living room set. So it’s actually pretty uncomfortable. We put a piece of plywood under the cushions to lend some support, but I think that is slowly destroying my spine …
It’s still my favorite place in the house, but I really hate our couch.

I’ve actually somewhat destroyed the place where I usually sit on the downstairs couch. It’s all sunken in and shameful looking. Maybe I’ll look into that board solution you mentioned.

EDIT: Speaking of the Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver, where can I find the latest drivers for it, since I can’t find the driver CD? The last time I installed the drivers, they prevented my mouse from working. Obviously, the wireless receiver lost that contest, so it’s been unplugged ever since my Vista re-install.
When I say “downstairs,” I mean the basement. We live in a ranch.
It’s certainly better than constantly fighting the lean, but there’s got to be a better solution. I’m skeptical about getting the couch tuner out here, since one had come out before because of a jutting spring - and I can’t help this paranoia that he rigged it to fail on us, like a skeezy mechanic.
You guys better get on it. A comfortable couch is the cornerstone of a quality gaming experience, whether it’s a bargain or full-priced game. You can’t neglect the basics. Otherwise how will I know I can respect your opinion of Far Cry 2? It could just be that you were extra uncomfortable on the couch that day.
So is there some way to make the ho in Dark Messiah (which I grabbed from the 10$ ubi pack) not die instantly on hard mode? Bitch gets tickled by an orc and she’s freakin down. I was enjoying the game up until she appeared, but now I just want to uninstall it.
Console gaming sounds expensive. Comfortable couch, surround sound, 42" TV, wireless dongle things.

As for Rock8’s trepidation about my opinion on Far Cry 2, I loved it, despite the saggy couch.
