For the 360, this game sold out once, came back in stock, and then sold out a second time. It might come back in stock, again, so you might want to keep an eye on it.

Too Human 12 bucks, free shipping buy.com

I have no interest in this game.

I am curiously intrigued by this game.

You’d be surprised at the number of console ports which f**k up the controls, unfortunately. EDIT: it’s better now than it was the Xbox 1 days (some of them didn’t have ANY gamepad support), but it’s still not a given that they got the gamepad controls right.

Too Human for $12 from Buy.com. EDIT: nevermind - sold out.

Crackdown for $10 from Newegg. Also Kingdom Under Fire: COD for $10, though it’s probably still not worth it.

Also, I snagged a copy!! ^_^

Well, yeah. Before the advent of the 360 controller, console ports often weren’t right. But I thought the whole point of the PC version of the 360 controller was so everything was now sort of standard and easy, especially if you were doing a 360 version, too?

It’s definitely helped, I have plenty of newer and older games which work great on the 360 controller that had trouble with other pads.

For the first time ever, plug and play works!

Yeah, the 360 controller for Windows is a godsend.

Looking forward to checking out some reviews on Helldorado.

It’s very likely you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. There hasn’t been a good Western-themed game since Outlaws. Except maybe Gun, in parts.

This weekend’s deals at Microcenter: Turning Point (PS3) for $10 (today only); GRAW 1 (PC) & Quake Wars ET (PC) for $5; Age of Empires CE and City of Heroes G vs E for $10; C&C First Decade for $18.

Red Dead Revolver

Agreed 100%

I bought a PS3 today at Gamestop. They had Valkyria Chronicles for 29.99 new as part of their gamedays sale. Good deal, so I grabbed it.

No! I must… resist…

I’m sorry Robert. I’m sorry I couldn’t talk you off the ledge. But now that it’s done, it’s time to switch modes and congratulate you on the new machine! And to reinforce the idea that it was worth the money. I’ve already got myself convinced!

Why resist it? It’s supposed to be a great game, and that’s a good price for it. In case it isn’t clear from my post, you don’t have to buy a system (or anything else) to get this deal. It’s just a sale on the game (and other games).

As for the system, thanks Rock8man, but I don’t need convincing. For some reason, I thought the system was more expensive actually. I had $500 in my head, but it’s $100 less than that. Plus, my wife loves to watch me play FPSs, so the two Resistance and Killzone games should justify the system by themselves. Through in Infamous and Valkyria, and I’m pleased already. I think she’ll enjoy playing LBP, too.

Also, I forget when you tried to talk me out of it. I must have blocked it out!

I think he’s trying to resist purchasing a PS3, not VC (although, if he does decide to purchase a PS3, not purchasing VC at $30 would be a grave mistake of epic and imaginable proportion!). Get the PS3 to go with your PC and 360 gaming, frank, and you’ll be short only the Wii. Life’s too short, the world may end tomorrow, yada, yada, yada…

I hope you enjoy them. I’d thought I would feel the same, but the PS3 controller (and the PS2 controller before it) just aren’t enjoyable for me while playing shooters, so I didn’t get very much out of Resistance 1 and 2, and the Killzone demo. I would suggest trying the demos on PSN first. Resistance 1 has a demo, and Killzone has a demo. Uncharted has a demo too, which, in retrospect, I should have tried before buying that game.

I wish you could try LBP before buying. Is there a place you can rent it first? I don’t begrudge the game for having all the cool stuff it has. It’s a really charming, well made game. But I wasted my money on it, since the basic “feel” of the sackboy “spring” and jump is just off. It doesn’t feel fun to me, and even though I love what they’ve tried to do with the game, when I don’t enjoy the core experience of jumping in the game, it all kind of falls apart for me.

I’ll be Gameflying all of those games first, so no worries. I’m not sure I would like LBP either. I mainly bought the system for VC and Infamous, with hopes that the FPSs would also be a lot of fun. I think I can adjust to the controls. We’ll see. BTW, grats on hitting 5k posts.

Oh, and I won’t post more about my new PS3 in this particular thread, since it should be about bargains. I just wanted to share the Vakyria deal.
