And…sold out!
Damn, I was ready to take that deal.

I’ll hold out for a new one. I’m hoping that Dell puts the item back online, since their promo material doesn’t say anything about “limited quantity.” In fact, the cheap price is supposed to be in effect until tomorrow night.
Plus Dell frequently has sales on consoles. It doesn’t make sense for them to stop now. I’m sure there will be another sale next month. Even if it’s not as good, I’m sure there will be another one in June, and so on.
I still think they’re going to announce a price cut at E3, and THEN Dell’s sales will be even better.
There’s always the “Sony Visa Card” deal going on where you can get the PS3 for $300, direct from Sony. Here are the instructions (I’m not affiliated with DealNews, that’s where I heard about it first.)
Hopefully you can cancel the card right after you get the $100 credit. Be sure to read the fine print carefully. Credit card companies are evil.
Or just wait for the PS3 price drop, which should be anytime now, give or take a year. ;)

I was able to just score the Dell PS3 deal by using online chat. I just told them I had trouble adding it to my cart. Woo! Now I need to find a deal on some games.
They had MGS4 for $50, which isn’t bad.
Same thing happened to me, with the same two games. I’m going to try and price match at Wal-Mart or something tomorrow, maybe – but my time is probably worth more than the effort I’d expend to get the two games at $10 ea.
The Best Buy here apparently was very slow per my son. He picked up a few he wanted. Also they had Red Alert 3 for $10 and he said he could take it to Gamestop in trade for $20.
Nice increase in value.
I lucked out at BB yesterday: snagged Soul Calibur IV, Silent Hill 5, Bourne, Overlord, and Fracture. I also saw Pure, Red Alert 3, and Supreme Commander. Only thing I couldn’t find I wanted was DMC4.
[Why yes, I did post this just to gloat!]

I got Bourne, Fracture and Alone in the Dark.
I wanted Pure and DMC4… but that didn’t happen. There were people lined up outside, and the first people down the aisle grabbed stacks of the games, most likely to sell them to gamestop for a quick buck.
My BB was picked clean by the time I made my way over there at around 3:30 or so. I resolved not to interrupt my day to make a special trip over there for a deal on a bunch of games I obviously hadn’t cared enough about to buy previous to this sale. So we went about our usual Sunday morning activities and I worked out. My girlfriend had something to do at 4:00, so when she left I drove over and checked out what remained.
While there were no games of interest, I did see a dork with a big belly, accentuated by the shirt he’d tucked into his shorts, pouring over a dutifully printed list of games as he combed through the shelves. I was sort of surprised to see someone with a list like that there so late. I’m sure it was a zoo when the place opened at 11:00.

Our store had a good 5-6 people waiting outside. The first people in walked out with a stack of games.
It’s probably too late now, but my Best Buy was using little yellow Best Buy logo stickers on the $10 sale items, so it wasn’t necessary to bring a list this time. I think in the past these sales have gone mostly unmarked, so it was a nice change. So if you do happen by an out of the way one, there’s an easy way to tell what’s still on sale.
Also, if you’re looking for a PS3 game, you’re probably going to have better luck, because the 360 section of mine was picked clean (except for Head Coach '09), but the PS3 section had a bunch of SoulCalibur 4 left.
Yeah, I got the PS3 version of SC4 since the X360 one was already sold out. I think the copies of Pure I saw were PS3 only too. Not too surprising, considering the 360 still has about twice the install base of the PS3 in the U.S. (but it’s gaining fast, honest!).

At my large Best Buy nearby, all of the $10 360 titles were sold out by the end of Sunday. I didn’t get my hands on any of them, and I work there!
Mirror’s Edge now $9.98 on red tag Target Clearance. YMMV.

Does Target put their clearance games in a special section? I can’t ever seem to find any of these target clearance games at my local Target.
Boo, I just picked it up used at Gamestop’s buy 2 get 1 free used this weekend. Has that been mentioned here? I don’t know how long it’s running, but they were doing it starting Saturday, I think they usually give it a week when they do this?

Don’t be too sad. Target’s video game deals tend to be different from store to store.

Look for an endcap marked “clearance”, usually facing a wall.
