Not exactly peace-of-mind bringing to me.

i don’t follow. how is this different from gamersgate or any other digital download games service?

gamersgate terms of use:

These Terms of Use are effective until terminated. You agree that GamersGate may terminate your log in access to the Website, including your user name and password, at any time for any reason without prior notice or liability. GamersGate may change, suspend, or discontinue all or any aspect of the Website at any time, including the availability of any feature, without prior notice or liability.

again, any of these download services (including steam) can effectively delete your account if they so desire. this being the case, one can no longer download already purchased games.

look, all i’m saying is that your post above was inaccurate. D2D works like the other download services in that you can effectively download your games as many times as you like.

Not to mention the fact that D2D doesn’t charge your credit card as a cash advance, triggering extra fees from your credit card company.

Free grilled chicken at KFC.

Did that work for you? First it made me install a “coupon printer” on my machine, and then when it actually shows a printing animation, nothing actually prints from my printer. So I tried IE tab, and that didn’t work either. So then I tried IE. Which just goes to a screen after the printing animation screen and says “Thank you for printing our coupon” even though no coupon has been printed. This looks like some kind of scam to me. And I fell for it, and installed their stupid software. Luckily it’s only my work machine.

The site is official, but their bullshit download seems broken. I passed it on before I tried it, but the same thing happened to me. I’d say ‘why the hell do they need a coupon downloader anyway?’ but I know the answer to that. Coupon piracy.

I balked at installing the coupon downloader. Seems fishy (chickeny?) to me.

What are you, chicken?

Bwak!

The site is registered by KFC according to a domain whois search so I think you should be safe unless they don’t have their IT shit in order there.

I would rather pay for some chicken instead of downloading “something” on my computer to get it for free. Hell even my work computer where I am at now.

So KFC you will not trick me into entering your store for your chicken this time!

Plus the fact that they changed the Honey Mustard sauce to some grey poopon stuff. Now if they had the old sauce…

The downloader is supposed to send the coupon directly to your printer without giving you any image on the screen. Supposedly this will limit the number of coupons it’s possible to DL. The site, as has been established, is legit. And if you want to surrender your testes, you can also confirm this on Oprah’s website.

That’s exactly what I’d expect a purveyor of spyware to say.

It gives you the bird virus.

The birds are all jealous about Swine Flu getting all the press, so they have gone on the attack.

It also downloads nude pics of Jensen Ackles directly to your My Documents folder.

This thread is for games and game-related things, dudes. Start a bargain thread in Everything Else if you want to hawk chicken.

I clicked “print coupon now”, and it gave me a PDF to print out.
