Wait, they have an affiliate program, don’t they? Maybe we should use each other as referrals to get even more out of this.

EDIT: Ah, it’s more for sites than individuals. But if anyone wants to set that up, I’ll hold off until they do.

Oh come on! I have games preordered a ways out. I just take advantage of price drops at Amazon when I notice them. I mean, I already have Bioshock 2 and Mass Effect 2 preordered because Amazon is offering them for $56.99. Why not, ya know?

I know.

They should offer an anticipated sequel reserve purchase.

Defense Grid is only $5 on Steam until May 13th.

I was going to post this, as well, but you beat me to it. I’d need to have my head examined if I didn’t purchase it at this price, so it’s been purchased!

I also noticed that Men of War is now available on Steam for $26.99 (10% off), as well as a demo.

Because not everyone can/will preorder every game they’re thinking of picking up. I mean, I would pre-order everything, if I had that kind of money to throw at this most expensive of hobbies.

Men of war is 50% off at Direct2Drive this week. Only $14.95.

Cryrostasis is fucking -terrible-. I don’t know why Gamespot gave it such a good review.

It runs at literally 1-4fps. Completely unplayable on my rig. I have no idea why it runs so badly… Bioshock was doing 5x the amount of stuff this thing is, and it ran at a steady 30fps on my same machine.

My brilliant strategy of not buying this at 20$ or 10$ has paid off! Success! I will continue not buying awesome games so everyone can reap the rewards.

Sweet Defense Grid bought and bought.

I prefer Friggin’ Chickenmyself (starts at 2:50).

Kickass, thanks :)

Amazon’s Deal of the Day is Deadly Creatures (Wii) for $29.98. I’ve heard both good and bad on this game. If it was $10 cheaper I’d probably order it.

I believe the “good” came in the forum from before the game was released. The only person defending the game after release was Dave Long, and I believe his main argument in its defense was nothing substantive about the game itself, but more about “Are you going to let one guy (Metacritic) tell you which game to buy?”, which is a stupid argument to make about Deadly Creatures. Either point out why all the critics are wrong, or shut the hell up and stop trying to make people waste their money on Deadly Creatures just to take a stance against Metacritic.

The “good” I was referring to came from Patrick Klepek on ListenUp. Now Klepek is usually pretty forgiving on games and almost always finds something good to say about everything, even if he doesn’t like it, but he seemed to genuinely enjoy Deadly Creatures. I thought the GiantBomb guys might’ve said some nice things about it too, but I could be way off on that one.

Ah. I see. You and your podcast-listening ways. It’s like a whole underground side of game criticism and discussion that I never get access to. Well, I should reword that. I have access to it, technically. Just no time to actually listen to it.

I tend to get most of my news and game impressions from podcasts, Qt3 posts, Crispy Gamer, print mags (Edge, PC Gamer, Game Informer), and Twitter updates. I never navigate to sites like Kotaku anymore and usually only seek out reviews of games in terms of “regular” games press reporting.

Is either the Chosen or Space Hack worth the time to play it? (The money is obviously not so important at $2.50 per game.)

Do I need two copies of Age of Booty to play with my wife? If I get two copies can we play together directly or do we have to go through online servers and put up with random yahoos joining us?

For those who haven’t tried out Lord of the Rings Online yet, you can now buy the Complete Edition (which includes the original game plus Mines of Moria) for $9.99. This offer is good for either the digital download or boxed version of the game…

Here is a link:

$9.99 LOTRO Complete Edition

I think you can also sign up for the 3 months at $9.95 a month(total of $29.99) until June 30th.

So basically you can buy it, and play for 4 months, for 40 bucks. Which I think was the original price of the Complete Edition alone.
