Dell has its 360s on sale again, which isn’t really news, but they are offering the Halo3/Fable2 Elite bundle for $340. Ships in 3-5 weeks, but still.

i don’t think i’ll be using impulse again. the number of times i had to enter in the same serial key to get my damn game playing was frustrating
I don’t suppose there’s any way to know if those are Jaspers.

uhh, steam’s other weekend deal is Stalin vs. Martians for $7.99
Not without seeing 'em in person, no. (And Microsoft does add bundled software to existing 360 boxes and slap on a new boxfront sticker, so you can’t assume that they’re completely newly made, either.)

Both D2D and Steam pages of the game specifically state that Vista64 is not supported. The demo worked fine, but is anyone running the full game in Vista64? Does it work okay?
I’ve been playing in on Vista64 and have had no problems. I’m only on about mission 3 or 4, but so far runs perfectly.

I dont have the steam version, but i have just finished an hour long session of MoW, i use Vista 64. Works fine for me. Im about 8 missions in with no problems. the official 1c forums say it works fine with vista 64 and i concur.
One caveat: the D2D description makes it sound like the 10% discount is for any game:
Direct2Drive.com - download your code from the ECA’s exclusive member benefits section to use at Direct2Drive.com towards 10% off your game purchases.
But once you join, you’ll discover the discount is only for the weekly top 10:
ECA members enjoy 10% off all top ten weekly games (these games will be changed out on a weekly basis) from www.direct2drive.com
If you’re considering joining ECA largely for the D2D discount, well, it’s not as sweet a deal as it sounds. :-(
I need to buy a new xbox 360. How can I tell when dell is running one of their specials? Is there a web page to alert a special running that you can use on a 360?

Elite is currently $350, Arcade is $195.
Fatwallet or Slickdeals may be a good place to keep tabs.
I thought the arcade was going for 160 when they were on special. I’m looking to get an arcade and a 120 gig hard drive. I would get the elite but even the game of the year editions are based on the old motherboard/chipset.
For those interested, Best Buy has the Call of Duty 4 GOTY edition (Windows) going for $29.99 here in the US this week.

I have no idea if any of those games is any good, but I thought I’d pass on the deal anyway.
BB also has Empire Total War and Wheelman for $30; Street Fighter IV, Skate 2, CoD 4 (console), Fallout 3 (PC), MLB 2K9, and Resistance 2 for $40; and Godfather II (console) for $50.
