Don’t know how much of a bargain this is, but if people are finally tempted to get PS3s because of Demon’s Soul, but wanted a full backwards compatible PS3, they’re selling used 60GB PS3s at GameDealDaily for $430. Which is… pretty expensive for a used PS3, but it has full hardware backwards compatibility and you can get rid of your PS2, so there is that.
Keep in mind though that E3 is right around the corner, and they probably will announce either a $50 or $100 price cut soon.
Yeah, I would recommend not getting a PS3 until E3 - even if you wanted the compatible one, a price drop will pressure even resellers to drop …
Unless you’re rolling in Steve-level cash, or something.

I really hope the price drop happens. I snagged one on the Dell $299 deal a couple weeks ago, and am very happy with my purchase. Little Big Planet & Uncharted have provided me a lot of entertainment. I would be dealing with some buyer’s remorse if I had spent $399, I think.
There’s still some latent anger about your huge TV and nice couch.
The TV is a 42" LCD. It’s not even plasma!
As for the couch, it’s not nice. It’s a hand-me-down with a very saggy cushion. It’s just nice in comparison to sitting in an office chair in front of my PC.

The Target in Watertown must have found a bunch of old, old games and just stuck them out for super clearance. I picked up Overlord and Tomb Raider Legend on 360 for $5 each.

Yeah, that does make sense now actually. Target, specifically, is not a place where you normally find very much that is over a year old.

Amazon’s Deal of the Day is Pure for $19.98. It’s not the $9.99 that Best Buy had it for, but it’s still a good deal.
I was considering picking up Pure from Amazon this morning for $19.98 and I noticed that when I got to the checkout screen, Amazon automatically took 10% off. I’m assuming Amazon is automatically applying my ECA 10% discount without the need to actually enter a code. Maybe they’re doing that as a workaround for people who have previously entered ECA codes until the code supply is replenished. Or maybe I accidentally applied a code and then didn’t go through with an order and the code remains tied to my account. If that’s the case, there is no way to tell. It’s not showing any code or anything like that. I took Pure out of my cart and added another random game and the 10% discount still applied. shrug
GoGamer doesn’t let you review your shipping options before entering credit card info? That sucks. I’d rather just pick it up in the store for all the price difference if it’s going to take a week …
If you order one game from GoGamer.com and select Dirt Cheap shipping (media mail), they’ll go ahead and send it out First Class anyway because it costs about the same. YMMV, obviously, as they’re under no obligation to do so, but I got my copy of Blazing Angels: Secret Weapons of Normandy in two or three days last week with Dirt Cheap Shipping.
