You should realize you are being presumptuous. I will enjoy it though; not that I need your permission to do so, of course.
You should have seen all the food I recently tossed out before Christmas in order to make room for holiday meal stuff. Sure, I could have donated it to a local food bank, but I was lazy and a trip to the dumpster was less time consuming for me. The upside is that now it will feed the hungry people that have work ethic enough to dig for their own hand-out’s in the trash.
What’s really funny is that even though my wife insists on making an entire 20 pound turkey every Thanksgiving (We have Ham for Christmas), half of it ends up in the trash since it goes bad before we can finish the stinking thing.
Oh yea, Best Buy has 50% off all game downloads this weekend. I might spend a few bucks there while a family goes hungry two blocks away.
You should offer your toothpaste for homeless people to eat.
I fully support Obama’s socialist toothpaste rationing program, comrade. I don’t know what your problem is Kerzain, but I’ll be reporting you to the liberal re-education brigade.
I didn’t think it was fair to talk about all our great deals without at least sharing a portion of them. Here’s some stuff that fit on our table. I might be able to fit more, but the Domino Effect was in full swing.:

Man you and your wife are a real party, this is fascinating stuff
@kerzain: As I said, enjoy. If it floats your boat to deliberately waste while others go without, have at it. I wasn’t trying to redistribute your wealth, I was suggesting an act of charity. God forbid! Anyway, this isn’t R&P, so I’m out on this particular topic.
Bless them! Their old design made my eyes bleed.
Let me just say that if you have $12 to spare and no philosophical objections to Gamersgate (and don’t already own it), you really must buy Men of War. It is that good.
You’ve figured out my weakness. I know nothing about this game, but I can’t ignore an endorsement that strong.
I’m downloading it now.
I’ve got it penciled in for February 2010, when I’ll have some time to spare to try this game out. Here’s what it says:
“Try Men of War today. If no longer on the current hard drive, redownload from Gamersgate. Give it a try, and if it’s shit, go to Qt3 and give a strongly worded response to malkav11, if he still posts there.”
See you in February 2010. Wait, the World Cup happens in 2010, and it’s in South Africa. And their Summers happen in the Winter for us. Does that mean the World Cup will happen in early 2010 or late 2010?
Probably not in February 2010, because that would conflict with the Winter Olympics.
Are you talking about all the soap and toothpaste up there, or about the World Cup? Because if it’s the soap and toothpaste, I agree! If it’s the World Cup: to answer my own question, the world cup is still happening from June 11th to July 11th, 2010. I should have known that summer-time is not a requirement for the World Cup. All that’s really important is that it be shown during prime-time on European television live. That is, after all, the kind of commercial world we live in. I wonder how cold it will be in South Africa in June?
/end off topic post about World Cup. Back to discussing how awesome a bargain Kerzain’s wife gets on soap and toothpaste.

Game du Jour has DROD RPG for $10. I don’t know how this differs from the usual DROD puzzle games. I think I played a demo but don’t remember much about it.
It’s like DROD, but instead of a fixed-damage combat system, you can change how much damage you do/take by picking up sword/armour stat increases. It changes the dynamic a lot in that instead of taking on a single room at a time, you’re optimizing your path through the levels, trying to get as powerful as possible before taking on enemies, so as to minimize health loss.
It’s a neat idea, but it was way too micro-ish for me. The idea of having to go back to the beginning of a level, let alone the game, because my route shaved a little too much health off of my total kind of sucked the fun out of it for me, but YMMV.
Most coupons come unbidden into the consumer’s hands. There is no monetary commitment made by the consumer for receiving them. Even Best Buy Reward Zone coupons come as a result of a free membership (and while they expire, they can be combined, you choose when they issue, and they’re good for at least six months after that). I’m shocked that anyone would defend the GF coupons’ timed expiration that actively prevents them from being of any real use. Well, you’re not so much defending it as saying, “Heck, other coupons expire, so this is no big deal.” Not a great argument really. Maybe the disagreement is that at a fundamental level I don’t regard the GF coupons as such. They have the character of an earned reward for money spent, not the free bonus you keep insisting they are. Because of that, it seems to me that they shouldn’t expire so long as I continue to subscribe to Gamefly, especially since they’re being awarded on the basis of my long-term and continued subscription.
Congratulations on discerning their true purpose, Neo. :-)
This week’s B&M deals:

I’m a total newbie when it comes to the Guitar Hero games. I haven’t played them even once because the fingers on my left hand have zero dexterity and I doubt I’d be able to push the 5 buttons fast enough to keep up with a song. However I’m a big Metallica fan, so this is tempting (kind of ironic I’d buy the game for a band with Speed Metal songs in their catalog if I doubt I’d be able to keep up with the slow stuff) . Out of curiosity, does the $37 game have everything in the box I’d need to play the game? I’ve heard sometimes you have to buy the game and controller seperately.
I’ve also been tempted to try Mad World… But the B&W color scheme seems really hard on the eyes.

I turned on my neglected 360 for the first time in over a year (since beating Mass Effect 4 times for 100% achievements) and recharged 13 months of XBLA but I was immediately turned off at how noisy the damn thing was.
Still, I bought Bionic Commando Rearmed for 400 pts.
