Thank you, I’ve been waiting for a psp sale to get one, and getting a newer version is a plus. Now I just need to find a place to get the memory card cheap and I’m set.

Yikes, that’s really slow. I’ve got Verizon FiOS and my max download speed is 2.33MB/sec, but I was only getting 1.1MB/sec from Gamersgate, while services like Steam and Impulse download at my maximum speed.

Gah, If only it was the 3000 model.

The Corporate Machine is priced at 99 cents this weekend in Impulse (down from $4.95). I looked it up on Metacritic and the reviews seemed pretty good so I snagged it. Can’t go wrong for a dollar, eh?

The 3000 model is still unhackable. If I were buying one, I’d consider it being the 2000 model a bonus.

Isn’t there some problem with the 3000 model and screen blurring too?

Hrmm. I don’t have a whole lot off interest in hacking it, but enough PSP games I want to play have piled up over the last few years that I’ve been thinking about getting one. I thought the 3000 was supposed to be better in terms of screen blurring, now worse. Is that really not the case?

Eurogamer PSP-3000 review

This is what I was referencing:

This was Sony’s response:

I am going to wait till after E3 when info about the PSP Go is dropped.

Ugh, great, now I’m back into analysis paralysis mode. I think I’ll just wait and see how the Go! turns out. Thanks for the info everybody.

EBGames/Gamestop’s Weekend Deals.

Includes $10 off all versions of X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Steam now has both Freedom Force games. Buy them together with the one-week discount, and the total cost is $6.74. Quite a deal.

So should I have waited for getting a PSP? I’ve never had one and have no interest in hacking it for now or is that still a good deal?

Normal price is $7.49 apparently for both. 10% off the normal bundle price or $0.75 off.

I was going to get it and add to my backlog due to the price. But I think I can wait until I actually play it and pay the extra $0.75 then.

Holy shit, awesome. I lost my discs a long time ago.

Could this signal that one of Ken Levine’s new projects is a new Freedom Force game?

No. Probably not.

And Steam’s crazy with the weekend deals this week. UT3 for $10 (or you can play for free this weekend), Unreal pack for $20, Assassin’s Creed for $10, Splinter Cell for $5, Splinter Cell Double Agent for $5, Flock for $7.50, a bunch of crappy Popcap knockoffs for half off, and Trials 2 + Monster Trucks Nitro for $4.50.

Is that what we’re calling all casual/puzzle games now days, Pop-Cap knockoffs? :(

Why, back in my day I remember when everything was a “Tetris clone”.

Very tempted to pickup UT3 just for the joys of playing Morpheus over and over and over.
