Direct2Drive has SotS:UC + SotS:ANY (the new expansion) available for pre-order for $16.95 total.
Impulse and GG both have SotS:ANY pre-orders (unbundled from previous versions) available as well.

So, this game blows… hard.
I can see how this could be fun… the trailers are really funny… but god damn the tech just doesn’t work. People look grainy, the background scan is awful.
Hell, I have a near all white backdrop and it still didn’t work with me. I was wearing a dark brown shirt and dark pants… and I was still disappearing.
Good have been good… too bad it sucked… hard. But, for 10 bucks I can’t argue, I now have a cam… that is mostly useless…
Dell has the PSP 2000 for $112 ($107 w/DPA). As mentioned earlier in the thread, this is the 2nd-gen PSP (aka Slim & Lite), not the more recent 3rd-gen PSP-3000.

Well Impulse does have SoTS:UC for 7.99 and the expansion pre order is 8.99 so its pretty much the same deal. I’m going to get SoTS:UC from Impulse at least.
Damn these deals. I’ve still got Sins of a Solar Empire and Galactic Civilizations I Complete waiting in my backlog. SoTS:UC was easy to ignore as long as it was on GamersGate, but I have an Impulse account all setup already, so now I’m going to have to buy it.

Yeah I was also going to ignore it if it wasn’t on one of my already established services. Glad to see impulse matched the price though as it made it an easy buy. It’s still 29.99 on steam though.
Looks like all of Steam’s MMO’s are on sale. Not sure if this is the official weekend sale or not. Meh.
The press release from Paradox Publishing went out announcing the sale across all distributors. Expect Steam to drop their price sometime today (I hope).
Looks like the only real bargains are Age of Conan & EQ2 Shadow Odyssey for $10 each and Eve Apocalypso for $7.50; the rest are only 20% off.
Impulse’s weekend sales:
* Sword of the Stars Ultimate for $7.99 / 7.99 Euro ($22 off)
* Democracy 2 for $11.49 (50% off)
* Kudos 2 for $9.95 ($5 off)
* Kudos: Rock Legend for $4.95 ($5 off)
* Kudos for $4.95 ($5 off)

I’ve been having that problem for years now. If it wasn’t for this stupid gaming addiction and their delicious periodic Madness, I’d have given up on them a long time ago.
Yup, it’s the weekend deal.
Even though I’ve abandoned EQ1 once again, I’m kind of tempted by EQ2 even if just for the free month, just to satisfy my curiosity about how much of an improvement it is.
Oops looks like I was a bit zealous, I found the deal in the Specials section, but they hadn’t posted it. Weekend Sale it is!
Bteween Steam and Impulse I am being Nickel and Dimed to death!!! Every weekend it’s the same damn thing, another $5-8 fix I MUST buy!!!11!!!11
And I never get a chance to finish the game before the next one goes on sale.
Sigh… If only I could posit some self control.
ooooh, 5 dollars, 7 dollars, 8 dollars, 10 dollars! all so cheap!!!
Sword of the Stars Utlimate $8
Everquest II Shadow Odyssey $10
Blueberry Garden $5
Eve Online $7.50
Grand total $30.50, hey! thats not so cheap anymore.
Exactly. I’m putting this thread on ignore.
The hilarious part is they have EQII: The Shadow Odyssey for $10, but Rise of Kunark (which is entirely contained in The Shadow Odyssey and then some) is only lowered to around $16.
Crap, wish I had waited on SOTS. I grabbed the GG version, but would have definitely preferred Impulse. GG’s download speeds have been terrible lately.
I got it mostly for curiosity’s sake, but also so I could use the cam to try the face mapping features in Tiger Woods and Rainbow Six: Vegas.
Via Dealnews: $29 G9 Mouse after rebate. I fucking love mine, and anyone looking for a mouse should seriously consider this.
