Hmm… ought to grab this and skip Fantasy Wars. And get Zeno Clash this weekend.
I’ll probably wait on Arma2 until retail or a very quick sale so that frees up game buying allowance from the wife…
I just loaded HOMM5 in Vista and it worked fine. Doesn’t have any widescreen aspect ratios, however, so everything’s stretched at 1900x1080. Tested Dark Messiah and it works as well.
I noticed earlier that newegg.com has Sim City Societies for 5 bucks shipped. Messrs. Chick, Murdock and Goodfellow gave it a somewhat positive mention on the latest ep of Three Moves Ahead.

A reminder that LOTRO’s 2-year anniversary promo - get Mines of Moria for $10, subscribe to their 3-months-for-$30 plan - ends June 30th.

What video card? What cable is connecting it? DVI? VGA? HDMI? HDMI to DVI adapter?
You can set scaling to not stretch in your video drivers if you use DVI.
If you can wait, you may be able to find better deals on DS3’s. I got mine by price matching around Black Friday time ($30). The normal price ($55) is just ridiculous.
Tracy means that the resolution properly matches what was selected, but the game itself is stretching what it renders to the window, which often happens with games that don’t really handle widescreen ratios but let you select widescreen resolutions anyway. Either you just live with it, find a hack that adds proper support, or knock it down to a 4:3 resolution.

Devil Survivor for the DS is $24.99 at Fry’s.
Damn. I wish I didn’t break my DS.

A better might be to get a year of Technet for $250, which nets you 10 licenses for Win 7 Ultimate, 10 for Office 2007 and more:
Anyone know of any good PS3 game deals at Fry’s? Got a gift card there.
EDIT: PS2 also.
I’m trying to go cheap so I can stretch this gift card out as my game budget for a while (it’s about a $100).

Since it looks like no one has mentioned it yet, Zeno Clash is $10 on Steam for the weekend. Finally picked it up since it sounds a bit neat and I had been waiting for the price to drop since the pre-release sale.
Nice! Thanks for the link.
So, when I was in Durham last week, I stopped in at Target and picked up Scene It! Box Office Smash, with four wireless controllers, for a paltry $9.98. Not bad for a fairly well-received trivia game and four wireless controllers.
Great find. Both Scene It games are great when company is over, and the second one moves from round to round much more quickly than the first one did.

I picked up Left 4 Dead - yeah, a little late - for $12.49 at my local Target; oddly enough, PC version was still expensive. Lord of the Rings: Conquest for 360 was $9.98 as well, but I passed on it.

Supreme Commander + Forged Alliance on Impulse this weekend for $19.99 for both.
Normally it’s $29.99 for the gold edition.

I saw that and the more I thought about it, the more I could not pass it up. I can get three copies of Windows 7, WHS and the new version of WHS later on cheaper this way.
Public service for NewEgg. I used their Free shipping option for Battle Fantasia ($29.99… great price) and it only took like three business days despite claiming 4-7. YMMV obviously, but that was pretty impressive.
