Isn’t there a fallout with all expansions box set due soon?

Near the end of the year. All the stuff will have to exist first. The rumor was that it would be something like $60 for all of it, but you’re going to be waiting several more months even if that’s true.

Phew, Steam prevented me from becoming weak.

Seems I can only buy it with a credit card, despite having paid all my Steam purchases so far (all before the soul devouring regional pricing) with PayPal.
Perhaps some German-targeted age verification system… a pretty clever one considering that credit cards are comparatively rare in Germany.

Does anyone know if Majesty Gold on Impulse works under 32-bit Vista? If it does, it’s a purchase for me.

I remember Tom mentioning on Fidgit that Majesty did not work on Vista, and hasn’t for a few months now. Can anyone else confirm this?

Would you be able to get around it by sending an amount equivalent to $24.99 to someone in the States, via Paypal or whatever, and then having them buy a gift code? Can you transmit Steam gifts internationally?

You can, the guys over on the SA forums gift internationally all the time, to get around regional restrictions or take advantage of prices elsewhere.

Edit:

I couldn’t resist this deal, since I’d been waiting for the PC version anyway. The one caveat is that you don’t get the two free games until the preorder is charged, as you noted, but the preorder won’t be charged until the release date, so you don’t have the chance to play through the first two ahead of time.

Has anyone else had the problem that sometimes the credit card transaction is rejected when using Steam (even when there’s no real reason-- account’s not in default or anywhere near limit, nothing like that)? It’s happened often enough to me that I don’t even bother anymore and just use Paypal.

No, but I have been charged “foreign transaction fees” for a lot of my Steam purchases.

Yeah, that kept happening to me when I bought Titan Quest Gold. 'S fine with me if Valve wants to cut Paypal in.

When buying from a U.S. IP address? Weird. Are you drawing on your secret numbered Swiss bank account or something?

US IP, US bank account. It’s really odd.

This is a really good deal if you don’t have a lot of the games:

Damn, that’s a great deal. Too bad I already own almost everything I’d want from it.

Me too, but at $53 I’m considering it just to have everything on Steam.

I have this problem literally every time I try to purchase through Steam. If I log in via the website though and purchase that way, it works no problem.

I love that this exists. I have most of the games in that pack that I want to play but just in general I think its great that these packs are being put out and at a good price.

It works under Vista 64 bit for me. I think there was a cursor registry hack I had to apply to slow it down, can’t really remember. I know it works though, just ran it to be sure.

You sure it was Steam? I had a couple of those for a dollar and thought it was GamersGate. I think they’re foreign, right?

Also running Vista 64 and have not encountered any issues, nor did I need a cursor hack. Got the Impulse version.
