With free entertainment like that, I can see why an old school RPG might not sell in your town.

Target is running a sale on Xbox 360 games - buy one, get one 50% off. Apparently it’s on all regular-priced 360 games. It has the usual restriction that the discounted game must be equal to or less than the full-price game.

Also get a $50 gift card with purchase of a 60GB system, $10 card w/ purchase of a wireless controller, and $5 card w/ purchase of a $20 Live 1600 points card.

Gears of War 2 is $30 at Best Buy. It says after price drop and savings, but doesn’t break it down so not sure how much is price drop and how much is sale. They’re also running a deal for a 60GB Pro + 2nd Wireless controller + quick charge kit for $350, a $30 savings. You’d still come out ahead at Target with the $50 card, though.

Nothing really of note for the other consoles or PC in either circular.

Someone in another thread mentioned that their Gamestop was doing a ‘buy 2 used, get 1 free’ deal. Is this at all Gamestops? I went to one the other day to get Dragon Quest IV for my DS and they didn’t seem to be running any kind of a deal, but if they were I’d probably go back and ge Dragon Quest V and the last Phoenix Wright game.

The Gamestop near me had the Buy 2 get the third free promotion. It wasn’t advertised in the weekly ad, so it’s possible this was something the stores had choice on.

More likely is that your Gamestop is lazy and didn’t put up the signage.

It’s B2G3 on used games at the one near here. Plus, certain games of last year are either $5, $10, or $15 off – games like DMC4, GTA4, GHWT. But even after the discounts they’re way overpriced.

Yeah I managed to get the last copy of Dark Spire at my local EB as well. Looking forward to checking it out. I also snagged a copy of Devil Summoner 2 CE (with the plush doll) for 39.99. I am guessing that was the price when it came out but I was just surprised that this EB had like 15 copies of the CE left.

I grabbed Resistance 2 ($35), Assassin’s Creed ($20), and Psychonauts (free) from my local Gamestop. That is a dangerous deal for my wallet.

THANK YOU!

Deep Discount is having one of their periodic 25% off DVDs & Blu-rays with coupon code CJ25. In-stock only - no pre-orders or back-orders.

edit. be sure to use paypal

Just saw that on Blue’s, apparently it will be for all digital distributors at some point this week?

I think I will pick up Take Command since people have chatted about it on here.

So Steam will have this too? I may wait and get it that way. I don’t like the Gamersgate DLer.

This list has a lot of games I’ve always wanted to try but have been too intimidated by. For example, I tried the EU3 demo last week and was just totally lost. I chose France and had no clue what to do, even with the very brief tutorial. I’m interested in Victoria and HoI2 as well. Someone recommended EU:Rome as the best for beginners (of the EU series). But what if we include these other two games? Which one might help me get into these kinds of game? Just FYI, I enjoy the Dominions series, even with the pretty steep learning curve. But these games are deep in a different way.

Infamous is down to $44.99 on Amazon. This is getting close to my breaking point for purchasing.

Lots of people will be selling this game used. Just wait a bit and you’ll be able to get it for like $30.

It seems like the best part of being a PS3 owner is that all the other PS3 owners buy the “hit” games and then there’s a glut of them out there because there aren’t many other PS3 owners to sell them to.

Yep, and in related news, if someone is done with Infamous, and wants to trade it in, Amazon is offering $34.25 for it today as the “trade-in deal of the day”.

They managed to scrape up some more, if you wanna get in on it quick.

Thanks for this; I was skeptical about the game but as a new fan of BF on the console thanks to BF43, I could see sinking some serious hours into this one. Are the controls comparable, because I feel like they really work well in '43.

You guys were correct. The Paradox deal is live on Steam:

The thing that makes it really hard for me to play BC is that you have to hold in L3 to sprint. You can’t just click it like in 43/CoD4. Seems like a middling complaint, but it drives me bonkers.

Very cool, I’ve been waiting on a good Steam price for King’s Bounty. May have to pick up HOI2 Complete also.
