Don’t remember if I saw this in this thread or Cheapassgamer nor how long it’s been going on, but Office Depot has a sale on their jewel case games for buy one at $9.99 get a second one free.

Obviously YMMV, but my local one had Oasis (Mahk Leblanc game…anti-Minesweeper strategy deal), Battlefield: Vietnam, Tomb Raider: Anniversary and Legend, Need for Speed : Something, MoH: Pacific, and some other older and casual titles.

Steam weekend deal is all Dawn of War and Company of Heroes games 50% off.

Shit. Tales of Valor down to $15 which is where I want it, but I’d really prefer not to deal with Steam and the Relic patching system. Sometimes I like to reinstall and patch to a certain version so I can watch replays, and don’t mind keeping the (godawful) individual patches on my hard drive.

Today’s Deal of the Day at Amazon is Futurama Volumes 1-4 for $42.99. That’s the sort of price I’ve been waiting for!

You’ve got to be the first person in the history of the world that wants to deal with the insanity of Relic’s patches!

Well shit the relic super pack for 24 bucks is a pretty good deal as well.

Steam also makes me twitch because even though I’m not a hardcore player (in fact I haven’t touched it for a year due to burnout) it always bugged me how slow they were to get COH patches out for an obsessive like me.

The Relic system is horribly engineered but it contains a high degree of flexibility specifically for an application I care about, and I’m enough of a power user that I can deal with the process without throwing a tantrum.

I need to wait on this anyway because I don’t think the rage from my wife has died down yet about me playing COH multiplayer nonstop. :)

Really wish Steam would go back to the amazingly wonderful weekend deals. Most of these Relic games are probably what price they should be on Steam anyway. $65 for CoH with both expansions and DoW1 with all expansions is terrible, and $25 DoW2 is only an ok deal. Oh well.

Tales of Valor and Dawn of War 2 seem good. They can’t have a super ultra mega deal every week with hundreds of games for $30.

Besides, the only people that buy those are the ones that own most of the games anyway. :)

When I saw that my first thought was Homeworld complete! But alas only some COH and DOW games.

I’m a big fan of popular games going for 50%. I was very surprised to get CoD: World at War for $20… they don’t even offer that kind of deal for CoD4 :P

There’s kind of a massive difference in quality between the two that would account for the way WaW has occasionally been affordable, whereas CoD4 never has.

Hey, I got CoD4 for free with my video card, which I paid $50ish for, after rebate.

Holy sh*t, when was that deal? My buddies and I are looking for a good co-op zombie killing game. We are tiring of l4d and l4d2 is not out for awhile. We are also a little cheap. 20 bucks might be the magic price point, but I guess we missed it.

Just posted it at CAG, but EBGames deal for today is
Fallout 3 for PS3 at $28.
Here’s the CAG thread as I’m sure somebody there will figure out the coupon combinations to make it a better deal.
Link and I forgot, it is used. But will come with case, manual, and in good condition.

My CoH came with the graphic card. Can I buy the Steam version of Opposing Force? Do I need to get the Steam version of CoH to play it?

It was several months ago as a Steam weekend deal. I couldn’t resist :P It might pop up eventually again.

I have the retail versions of CoH and CoH:OF, and was able to use the Impulse version of CoH:ToV without issue. If I were you, I would purchase the Steam version of CoH:OF and then add your CoH key within CoH:OF. There’s no need to install CoH; the CoH key will unlock all CoH content within CoH:OF. The same is true for CoH:ToV, if you decide to purchase it, as well.

Gamersgate has Tomb Raider: Underworld for $20 today.

If you can find it, TR:U should still be going for $10 at Best Buy (in-store).
