It’s a pain in the ass for me to even go to a Target. It costs gas and time, and it’s out of my way, and whenever I’ve gone to one, I’ve been disappointed with the deals there. So I’ve stopped searching for magical Targets. They are totally not worth it. Especially in a world where Amazon has such great deals regularly which I can take advantage of with a couple of mouse-clicks.

Pfft. Maybe in Narnia you fucking talking badger but not around here! I’m sure that if you’re a goddam faun you can get awesome deals at your local Target, but where I am, you go any time of the week and the clearance shelf for games is always like Need for Speed Undercover, $34.98 or Viking, $29.97.

Why the fuck is the Game du Jour email list sending out deals on the game Anal Masters?

Glad I’m not the only one who went “WTF?!” when that showed up in his inbox. I was afraid the caffeine wasn’t kicking in…

BTW, Amazon is offering a deal on Xbox 360s to coincide with the price drops: get a free 13-month XBL Gold subscription with an Elite; or get a free game with a Pro or Arcade.

I downloaded the demo and will give it a try after work.
I expect a juggle for 2 min but paying for that kind of “game”?
Nice try…

CivRev (DS) $12 @ BB

Calm down. I’ll hook you up! If you see me post something you want, just let me know. K?

Also, I have two Target stores like this near me now and potentially a third that just opened on the other side of town but that I haven’t yet visited! There could be wondrous treasures to be found there.

You should start an Amazon storefront, or something.

Oh yeah, Prince of Persia for $9.98 last time I was there (PS3).

Dead Space (PS3) $20.98.

Patapon 2 $9.98 (or maybe it was $6.98? I forget…)

Anal Masters is on clearance at Target now though, only $1.99. I think that’s worth it.

As with all Target deals, YMMV on availability.

Update: The game itself didn’t make me laugh.
The only funny fact is that the game version is 1.4.
No idea what could have lacked in 1.0-1.3.

Pro tip: Don’t get in trouble at work or with your partners by getting caught playing that demo.
It’s not worth it.

How the fuck does a game with a name like “Anal Masters” even wind up at Target? Do you live in a red-light district?

I think that’s worth it.

You forgot sales tax and your last shred of self-respect and human dignity.

Pro-tip:
Read the page before of this thread…

He did, he just didn’t get the very dumb joke…

Or perhaps so since you never know with the OL’ INTERNET!

Vindicated Veronica?

Dammit, Tim, you better not be using sarcasm on a Friday, I am NOWHERE NEAR caffeinated enough at this point to catch it.

…though even if I had, I probably still would’ve made that “self-respect and dignity” crack.

For those among us buying PS2 RPGs…

If you were underwhelmed by the THQ pack discount, as I was (I already own too much of it to make it worthwhile and there’s no individual discounts), you’ll be happy to learn that it’s not the only weekend deal on Steam. You can also snag Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood for $35, and Rebellion games are 50% off, individually - Sniper Elite, Evil Genius both clocking in at $5 for the weekend and Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death for $4.

It’s supposedly 50% off all Rebellion titles but Rogue Trooper and Shellshock 2 are mysteriously not included in the sale. I wonder if this is an oversight that will be corrected.

…excellent.

Okay today it’s a real game, Depths of Peril for $10.
