That is weird.

The Steam weekend deal is Street Fighter IV for $20. Not my cup of tea, but it’s not like I’m lacking for games to play…

Damn it to hell. Street Fighter IV is Steam’s weekend deal for 50% off, or $19.99. Since it’s a GfWL game, it has LIVE achievements and supports the 360 controller. Do I buy the PC version now, or wait for the 360 version to go on clearance/sale? Argh!

That should be a pretty easy decision right? If you want to play with friends, or prefer the couch, go 360. If you only want to play single player and prefer your computer chair, go PC.

Don’t forget that the PC version also has more fighters to play with.

For $20, I couldn’t resist. Damn you, bargain thread!

I’m assuming PC players can’t play against 360 players.

I caved and pulled the trigger. Being able to pay via Paypal was the final straw. I am weak, and my backlog is mighty.

What the hell? Maelstrom and Shadowrun both cost $0.01. Is this for real?

Shadowrun requires Windows Vista to run, so be warned. It’ll be a waste of a penny (plus S&H) if you’re on XP like I am.

Maelstrom is well worth a penny. Shadownrun probably is too as long as you’re on Vista or higher.

Shadowrun was sold out earlier.

The PC version is single player only?

Gah! Sooo many good download deals this weekend!!

The PC version supports online and offline multiplayer. Of course, for offline multiplayer, you’ll need two controllers or someone is going to get stuck with the keyboard!

If you have the 360 wireless receiver dongle for the PC (I do), you can use four 360 wireless controllers.

Good for you, because those wireless dongles are impossible to find nowadays!

Amazon currently has 3 in stock for $44.99 and FS with Prime. Or, if you’re in the market for an additional wireless controller, you can purchase a wireless controller + the wireless receiver.

So is buying that Civ4 Complete pack a no brainer? I really don’t know if I’ll ever have time to play it (and I gather it is quite the timesink). It’ll eventually get cheaper in digital distribution in any case. Maybe someday it’ll even be on GoG!

But by then Civ5 will be out, and what will be the point?

Ah, ok then, I was confused because Rock8man said that the PC version should be bought only to play single player. I’ll probably buy it with this steam deal now.
