This title is available for purchase in United States, Canada, and Mexico only.
Arrgghhh!
Well these aren’t included in the sale per se, but the original Dawn of War, and all the Empire Earth games are discounted to 4,99$ too.
Vanilla Civ IV for $4.95? That’s a killer deal.
It would be a killer deal if you haven’t already gotten the 2K pack on Steam.

I worry for my pocket book when it’s the RPG and Indie weeks.
Damn it, Civilization IV is 98% complete… Soon, my laptop will be one of the most dangerous time-sinks known to man.

Damnit I forgot but someone told me how to to make Railroads! work under Vista. Can anyone help?
Kool Moe Dee covered that earlier in this thread. Hopefully it works, 'cos I’m going to need it as soon as my GoGamer order arrives.

Any guidance on D2D? I’ve never used it. What kind of DRM/activation/re-downloading policies do they use?
I understand the feeling, I dare not install that game on mine.
I’ve been crazily hooked on Might & Magic VI for these last few days. In fact I don’t remember ever being that taken and addicted into a game world before. No I don’t want to go to sleep yet, I want to complete that dungeon/kill those monsters in the horizon/buy expert training for that skill before…
Dammit. I don’t want to use D2D for a number of reasons. Fortunately for me there’s nothing on that first week list I want (have a lot of it already), but as the weeks progress I may have issues sticking to that.

It depends on the game. D2D is client free and doesn’t use any base drm. A lot of their games are DRM free, but some are protected if the publisher wants them to be. You usually just enter in your game code and the game unlocks via server. You can even skip their stupid download manager and just download the big setup zip. You can re-download as much as you want.

Even though Dave Long probably didn’t do this intentionally, I love how this thread serves two very distinct and powerful purposes:
- Find deals for those of us in North America.
- Torture anyone not living NA who happens to visit this thread.

So much anger on this thread…
If you have a Microcenter near where you live, Beatles: Rock Band is $40 there today for all 3 consoles, software only version.
Great deal if you can get it. Too bad all of them have most likely been bought up by employees looking to hawk them on eBay or whatever. I’ve never been able to take advantage of these Microcenter deals.
