It’s a good deal. Which of those 2 is the better game? (I have no driving game experience)
Fuck! D2D went down for maintenance as soon as I tried to check out! Rats!

Chronicles of Riddick for $5? Are you kidding me?! That is an awesome deal!

Yow – there’s some good stuff on there! I’m thinking of picking up Max Payne 2 and Stalker, both of which I missed the first time around. Chronicles of Riddick is pretty tempting, but I’m guessing that all the first-person neck-stabbery would play havoc with my tendency towards motion sickness in first person games.
Any word on the performance of Saints Row 2 on the PC? A couple of reviews complained about it. Have they patched it up since then? $5 would be a steal if I can actually run it.

For that ECA thing I signed up but it never asked me for a credit card and when I try to go here:
http://www.theeca.com/member_home
It says access denied. Please log in to see this content even though I am clearly logged in.
And yes I clicked on the confirm email.
Haha, I’m relieved to see I’m not the only QT3er who made the same error.
It’s probably better in the end, I had added lots of games to my cart, but I prefer to keep my money for the D2D sales anyway.

Couldn’t you set up a proxy to get around this?

Yeah I was just thinking about it, but
I put the game into my shopping cart, and while I get message “Error: The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is Country restricted on your IP” it still seems like I might be able to buy it? Because under that is " Your PayPal will be billed for $5.95"
I have no idea what will happen when I click “pay”…but I am gonna try it.
edit - huh nothing happens, it kicks me out to the previous screen.
I am not sure I want to hide my IP and stuff for it, isn’t it breaching of some contract or something?
Frontlines Fuels of War has been added in the 5$ list.
There are also a bunch of other games, scroll to the bottom of the D2D page to see them.

I’m very tempted by Frontlines: Fuel of War for $5 bucks, but I’m already struggling to find time for Section 8. I can’t imagine there’s much of a Frontlines MP community any longer…is there?

Hmmm I bought Serious Sam Gold instead of Riddick, will get Riddick when it will be on sale in retail…Frontlines I already have but didn’t play it, does it have good SP?
Wouldn’t it just be better to wait for the Serious Sam HD remake on PC? At any rate that’s why I’m not getting it. I got Riddick, Thief 3 and Frontlines.

Serious Sam Gold will make a great FPS for my laptop. Sure, it’s great for productivity and the like, but it’s rather enfeebled by demanding games. This one’s just old enough that it may work.

Holy crap, that’s amazing … Even if Saint’s Row is awful … Five bucks!

Be warned that Frontlines on D2D has had really spotty patch history. Looks like they finally caught up to 1.2.0, but retail has been on 1.3.0 for quite some time. When I bought the game a few months ago it was at 1.0.0 and no plans existed at the time to update it (according to an email I got in response to my question).
If it was a single player game that’s one thing but for multiplayer I’d be wary.

Youch! Thanks for the notice. I guess I’ll only be buying Dark Athena then.

It looks like Sid Meier’s Pirates was removed from the D2D sale already. Better get your games quick because the codes could run out!
For those who want to play the old sonic games on their PC, the Sonic Mega Collection Plus is also $5

I bought it for $10 and got my money’s worth. Ran fine on a C2D E8400 with 2GB ram and a 9600 GTX. If you don’t already have a 360 controller hooked up to your PC, now is a good time.
As far as I know, ALL SR2 purchases use Steam, so patching is automatic.
