the target stores in my area tend not to re-sticker clearance items, but they have self scanners to check price situated throughout the store. I’ve had a number of games stickered at $25-30 scan at $7.50.

GTA IV for $45 (X360) from Newegg and $49 (PS3) from Amazon. Free shipping on both.

Someone tell me when Heavenly Sword drops to $30. I rather enjoyed the demo and I’d like to get it, but it’s been out way to long for me to be willing to pay $60.

Guitar Center is advertising Guitar Hero III bundles for $40. On sale tomorrow I think.

No doubt. I’d be closer to twenty. They seem awfully resistant to budgeting old titles. Maybe I’m spoiled by the tail end of the last gen …

Check Target. I picked mine up for $30 there when it was on clearance a month ago, but you may have difficult finding any remaining copies.

Down to 30 bucks used on Half.com if you go for that kind of thing.

I generally don’t. I know, beggars can’t be choosers, but I’m very anal-retentive about the condition of my books, comics, CDs, movies, what-have-you. I suffer from low-level anxiety whenever anyone is borrowing something from me, until they return it. I’ve seen some of the nasty shit that passes for a “pre-owned” game in some stores.

When I make a purchase at Gamestop, I go to the counter and ask for one of the sealed copies in the case behind the counter, and I ignore them when they try to give me shit for it. Yeah, dumbass, I really just “want the extra cellophane.” Shut your fucking cock-holster and sell me the shit so I can take my leave of your buck-toothed, mouth-breathing, irregular-shape-headed presence.

Is that for all platforms? $40 for the guitar alone would be a great price.

You could probably finish it on a week long rental from Blockbuster. I tend to take a while to finish games and even I was able to pull it off. Plus, I don’t think the game is worth more than about $10 anyway.

I picked up one for my 360 today; thanks for the heads-up on this. They had it for both the 360 and PS3, at least.

The X-plorer is MUCH better than the Rock Band guitar. It looks much more toy-like, but it controls significantly better. The only downsides are that star power doesn’t seem to trigger when I lift it (similar to the Rock Band guitar, only less accidental triggering) and the stupid Guitar Hero 3 game itself isn’t being recognized bu my 360 - I get a “put disc into xbox 360 to play” error from my 360!

I take it this deal is in-physical-store only? I don’t see it online.

I went to Target this morning. In the end I decided to get $80 worth of Microsoft points. With taxes, it cost me $64.11. Not bad. Maybe I bought too few again though.

Don’t think this crowd will care, but Counter-Strike is half off at Steam this weekend.

Looks like Kudos: Rock Legend is going to be half price on Monday at gamedujour.com.

So it is!

Two other minor finds: Universe at War (PC) for $9 at Amazon and Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 (Wii) for $20 at Best Buy.

UaW is $10 at Half Price Books right now. Also at HPB: Space Quest and Liesure Suit Larry collections for $10, Halo 2 for $25, Boiling Point for $10 (they patched it, right?).

A lot of Targets are discounting the Supreme Commander Gold collection, anywhere from $21 to $7.50. Of course I bought it at the high price.

Bare-Bones Dell Quad-Core system with 2 22’ monitors for $754. Pretty hard to beat for people thinking about moving to a new system soon.

Two 22’ monitors? Those are big monitors! Would you mount them to the side of your house? ;-)

I stopped by Redneck Central (no, not that Redneck Central, but rather Big Lots!) the other day, to pick up a cheap car charger for my cell phone, and happened upon the Police Quest Collection for $6. Not bad!

I also picked up King Kong for $4, but a lot of the user reviews seem to be fanatical, anti-StarForce screeds, so I’m a bit worried about installing that right now…

They also had Thief II for $6, but I figured I’d leave that for someone else to discover, as I’ve already got a copy. It was hard not to give it a home, though.

Plenty of copies of the first two Hitman games, and a bunch of the lesser Tomb Raider games, for $6, also.
