EBGames.com is offering free overnight shipping on Silent Hill Homecoming as its deal of the day. Enter the coupon code “SILENT”. I’m going to hold off on this simply because I have too many games to play as it is, but for Silent Hill junkies who don’t like stopping at stores after work to pickup games on release day, this might be a good deal.

GoGamer this 48 hour sale has LOTRO special edition for $6.90. And stalker clear sky on sale for $29.90.

Stubbs the Zombie is $5 on Steam this weekend. Never played it, but for $5…

Stubbs is easily worth a fiver. Ok game, some charm. zombies.

Cheapassgamer deserves full credit for discovering this one, there’s no way I’d have checked the prices on these on my own:

Amazon has Microsoft Points for sale.

1600 Points $15.97
4000 Points $39.97

That’s cheaper for me than the sale Target regularly has on MS points, since I have to pay tax on those, and it comes to slightly more than the total here.

Now that Rock Band 2 is out, and the DLC is so well integrated into the game, with extra playlists unlocking when you have the right songs, this is a no brainer for me, and for a lot of other people here, I’d think.

Stubbs is under appreciated. its not perfect but its imaginative.

I was checking out Slickdeals , and someone reported that if you trade in RB1 to Blockbuster, you’ll receive $32 worth of credit which can be used for RB2. I haven’t tried the Blockbuster near me (I didn’t know you could trade games there), so I can’t confirm if it works.

those points probably don’t work in canada do they?

here it’s 1200 pts for $20. :(

I enjoyed Stubbs a lot, and actually finished it (woohoo). Only trouble I had with it was that it would occasionally BSOD due to some sound card issue with the Audigy 1 in my older rig.

I can confirm that Blockbuster is buying back Rock Band 1 for $32, and I found one near me that has a copy of RB2, I believe I read that store credit only works at the store you trade it in to, but I’ll be getting RB2 today.

Damn it, I made a pledge to my local independent video store manager that I’d never set foot in Blockbuster. Stupid pledges… Or at least misplaced senses of honor.

Are any of these worth $10 for PC? (each)

Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Tomb Raider Anniversary
Monster Madness
Lost Planet

MUA is worth $10.

Tomb Raider Anniversary is definitely worth 10 bucks, although it’s essentially the original game with modern graphics and animation. There are a few QTE’s in a couple of spots in case you’re dead set against those.

Where did you see those prices, rei? Amazon? Gogamer?

Clearance bin of a local London Drugs.

Yes, Yes, only if your last name is Chick, and probably no. I liked Lost Planet but that was on the 360. The demo was absolutely awful on the PC, not sure if they ever fixed it up.

At Circuit City this week: Crysis Warhead and Civ IV Colonization (due 9/24) are $25, Stalker Clear Sky is $30.

Pirates of the Burning Sea can’t be doing well. It was also $10. Yay or nay? Its company was Vanguard, Ryl.

It’s been out a while. Dropping into bargain bins isn’t the best sign, but it’s not terrifically uncommon for MMOs to have dropped $30+ dollars within several months of launch. WoW aside.

I just dropped two of these in my cart, and here’s what Amazon says:

Xbox 360 Live 1600 Points - Microsoft Software; Video Game
Usually ships in 3 to 5 weeks”

3-5 WEEKS? SRSLY? WTFBBQ?

I mean, it’s not like I need the points now, but that seems kind of insane.
