EBGames.com’s deal of the day is free overnight shipping on Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Enter the coupon code “MKDC” to get the deal. I bit on it for now.

Steve, you are a junkie!

Ha ha! I love free overnight shipping and I love DC Comics! ARGGH! I can’t resist!

Edit: Apparently I love exclamation marks as well.

That will be your undoing.

I have a ton of games for my PC and video game consoles, but my damn eyes keep letting me down. Within an hour or so of playing, they get very dry and irritated, and this is with blinking regularly and focusing off-screen at times. I’m jealous of those who can play for a few hours without developing bloodshot eyes. Are you one of those!? ;-)

BTW, does anyone know of any miracle eye drops or such that would help? If so, shoot me a PM. I use Systane, but it doesn’t seem to be helping. :-(

Circuit City has Civ: Colonization on sale for $24.99 according to their weekly flyer.

Do you wear contacts?

And Best Buy will price match if you take in a CC flyer, or print the corresponding page off from the web version of the flyer.

Best Buy and Circuit City have a policy of price matching each other on advertised sales.

… or are you doing drugs??? ;)

If you find any miracle cures for your eyes let us know, it normally doesn’t affect me but Rock Band and Guitar Hero are killers. I doesn’t bother me all that much, but other people are unnerved by the bloodshot eyes.

It’s probably because you’re not blinking. Remember to blink!

Nope.

Who wants to know…? ;-)

I suppose I could be misconstrued as a Satan worshiper if one looks into my eyes after gaming.

I do! And I use eye drops regularly.

The Circuit City website has Ninja Gaiden II for $40, plus you get a $20 gift card with it too, which you can use on the website, or print out and take into a store.

If you are suffering from dryness and not some sort of allergy, use saline solution drops. Don’t use the medicated kind because they’ll just hurt you in the end. I get the simple drops (generic, even!), and they work great for what you are talking about, though they won’t solve allergy issues.

BTW, my wife just picked up the new Chloraseptic gel that you put in your nostril to stop allergies. We’ll try it soon and report back. It’s like artificial mucus…or something.

I know it’s not due to allergies, and I never use medicated eye drops. My ophthalmologist recommended Systane (“lubricant eye drops”), but I think the root cause is that I essentially have dry eyes (don’t generate a normal amount of tears), which is why I stopped using contacts many moons ago.

Where do I go for replacement eyeballs? ;-)

You might contact Ben Stein.

Today’s Amazon DotD: SimCity Box for $15, which contains SimCity 4, SimCity Societies, each of their expansions, and Sims Carnival Snap City.

Also: buy an X360 Arcade, get Lego Batman free.

That’s a pretty decent deal. Too bad you’d still have to buy an HD cable, headset, and hard drive later.

I thought it might appeal to anyone with a busted X360 who is unable (or too lazy) to get it fixed under warranty: just move your old HD et al to the new one.

It also appeals to those of us who bought a 200GB drive when it was on sale for $130 a while back, and have a 20 GB hard drive sitting around, waiting for an arcade console.

I’m probably going to wait for a better deal than that though. I want a second 360 so I don’t have to keep moving mine between my living room and computer desk, but I’m pretty sure this Christmas season, a much better deal is going to come along than this one. Like maybe a game I want to get more than Lego Batman.
